stampin up, Stampin' Up Just For You, Grateful Bunch, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more ideas for cards, scrapbooking, gifts and 3 D Projects go to

Today is the LAST day for Sale-A-Bration for 2016!  It has been my best Sale-A-Bration so far!  Thank you everyone who put me down as their demonstrator!  You are the best!

I wanted to get this card on my blog for the end of the month as it has a fabulous stamp set from Sale-A-Bration named  Botanicals for you!  I am really thinking of keeping this stamp set for myself.  I love how big the "Just For You" is and the other stamps in the set.  I hope they have something like this in the new Annual Catalog that comes out soon!

I saw this kind of card on another demonstrators blog and fell in love with it.  I had never made a Z Fold Card so I thought this would be perfect for my Creative Fold Class.  It looked like it might take some time to make it, but it was actually a pretty fast and simple card.  That is the type of card you want when you are in a hurry.

I used the stamp sets Botanicals For You, Birthday Blossoms and Grateful Bunch to make this card.  You will also need the following supplies to make this card.

Calypso Coral Cardstock #122925

  • cut 2 pieces at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Night of Navy Cardstock #100867

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • 3 3/4" x 5"
  • 3 1/4" x 11" score at 2" and 6 1/2"

You will stamp you images on the white piece of paper and make the banners out of Regals and Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  The Glitter Tape is from Sale-A-Bration as well.

This is how you will fold you white piece of paper to look like a Z.

The section that has the 3 layers will adhere to the smallest section of the white paper.  I centered the bottom section of the white paper onto the piece of Calypso Coral paper.  I did use stronger adhesive, such as fast fuse, on this card, just because of the way it was being opened.  You will then want to fold the white paper down and put adhesive on the top section of the white paper.  You will want to line up the two pieces of Calypso Coral paper to get them even.

Here is a picture of the card open so you can see what I mean.

Happy Stampin!

Sheltering Tree Joy Fold Card

Joy Fold is a great word for this card!  My heart is full of joy today as I am realizing how much God has blessed me!!!  I have a great family, friends and great customers who are my friends!  Who could ask for more!

On Easter I had a stomach virus so I was unable to go to church with the family.  Let me tell you that was hard!  I had a little bit of a pity party for myself for about 5 minutes then I remembered everything Jesus went through for me to be saved and I was over that party pretty darn quick!!!  I worked on my bible study and that was the attitude adjustment I needed.  Overall, it was a great day that I got to spend with my family even though I was on the couch.

Here is a picture of our beautiful daughters, Emily and Erica.

IMG_6242 copy

Emily always jumps on Erica's back every time they are together.  It has become a tradition now and of course we have to take a picture every time.  They also love to be silly and the second picture is prove of that.   I just love these two so much!

I used the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set #137163, Grateful Bunch Bundle #140801 and And Many More #134276 to make this card.

You will also need the following materials:

Early Espresso Cardstock #119686

  • cut at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" score at 3"
  • cut at 3 1/4" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/2"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 3" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper #138437

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 2 3/4" x 4"
  • scrap pieces of paper for stamping the grateful bunches in blushing bride and chocolate chip

I alternated the flowers for on front and inside.  I poped the one on the front so the flap would fit under it and I just used snail adhesive on the inside.  I didn't want any more thickness to the card than there already was.

Here is a picture of what the inside looks like.

This is an easy peasy card but has a wow factor to it.  I hope I gave you some inspiration today for when you make your cards.

Happy Stampin!

Pleated Skirt Fold Card

This card looks like it took a long time to make, but it really is an easy peasy card.  I love those kind of cards!  People will drool over it and you can honestly say "Oh, it was nothing"!

To make this card I used the Circle of Spring stamp set #138964 for the saying on the front.  That is the only stamping that you will do unless you want to add a flower on the inside to decorate it and/or the envelope.  If you do want to do that I recommend the Botanical Blooms stamp set #140757.  I use the big flower and the little center that looks like it has a lot of legs coming out of the center.  LOL  That is the only way I could think to explain it.

You will need the following supplies to make the card:

Hello Honey Cardstock #133678

  • Cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • Cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"

Whisper White #100730

  • Cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" - this is for the inside of the card

Botanical Gardens DSP #140583

  • cut at 4" x 11 1/2" score at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 7 1/2" and 8 1/2"

Scraps of Cajun Craze, Early Espresso Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow to make the flowers.

To make the angle cut on the DSP you will need to put a little mark on the side that has the first score line at 1/12".  You will make the mark 1 1/2" down from the top.  From that mark to the the last score line you will cut your paper.  If you will look at my card you will notice that you do not touch the biggest section.  You are only cutting the area that you are going to be folding to make the skirt.  You can cut this with the scissors or your trimmer.

After you have made your cut you will need to fold your paper in an accordion style.  I put adhesive on the back of each fold to hold the paper flat for a nicer look.  I first stamped my image on the front.  Remember you always want to stamp first before you adhere because if you make a mistake you can always turn your paper over and stamp again.  You will then adhere your DSP already folded onto the hello honey paper.  I made sure I put quite a bit of adhesive or use the fast fuse adhesive to make sure it stays folded and stays on the paper.  I put the ribbon on next and then the flowers.  I did not pop any of the flowers this time.  You will put your completed card front on your card base and your finished!

You can use this card for any occasion and it is a great way to use up your designer series paper.  That gives me an idea.  I need to make cards for a friend as a thank you and she loves this card.  I think I know what I am going to make her now!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a fabulous day!!!

Happy Stampin!

Happy Easter!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!  I hope you get to spend this special day with your family and friends.  I am excited that our daughter Emily is home from college, but sad that Erica has to work all day.  We were able to spend last night together going to dinner and a play.  We had a lot of fun!

I wanted to show you this card open first because I wanted you to see the adorable little chick in the inside of the egg.  How cute is she?  I saw this card on Pinterest and thought what a great idea for my Easter cards this year.

To make this card I used the Honeycomb Happiness Sale-a-Bration stamp set and Petite Petals.  To make this card you will need the following measurements:

Blushing Bride Cardstock #131198

  • 5" x 11" score at 5 1/2" cut out using the scallop oval from the oval framelits #129381

Birthday Bouquest DSP #140557

  • 4" x 5" cut out using the largest oval framelit

Whisper White #110730

  • 4" x 5" cut out using the largest oval framelit

Mint Macaron #138337

  • 3/4" x 4"

When you go to cut the scallop oval on the blushing bride paper you will want to make sure you leave 3 scallops off the paper on the top.  You don't want to cut the paper all the way through or you won't be able to open it.  If you happen to cut it all the way through you can put tape and tear at the very top of the scallop oval.  You will want to score the top piece before you do that at 1/4" so you will be able to open the card up.

I used the retired scallop border edgelit to make the cut on the mint macaron paper.  You glue the mint macaron paper to the DSP before you cut it with the edgelit.  I then glued the bottom portion to the white paper but remember DO NOT put adhesive on the top edge.  You will need to put the little chick underneath the scalloped border.

Put the top part in place NO ADHESIVE and use your piercing tool and put a little hole about 1/8" above the top edge of the mint macaron paper.  You will then put in a mini brad there and press down the ends of the brad.  This will secure the top part to your white oval piece.  You should now be able to move the top section of the egg.  I put a flower to hide the brad, just make sure you don't put any adhesive on the brad or the bottom section of the egg.  You want to make sure the top part moves so you can see your chick.  Attach the whole egg onto the pink egg.

I watercolored the chick using Daffodil Delight Ink #119683 for my color and used the pumpkin pie and basic black marker for the beak and eyes.

On the inside I stamped Happy Easter.  You can use any stamp you have for this part.

This is what the card looks like when it is closed.

Thank you  for stopping by and I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Flowering Fields Triple Fold Card

This is another card that I have been wanting to do for a long time.  I received a card like this from a swap I did last year.  I thought it was going to take me forever to figure out how to do it, but I was wrong.  The only thing that took time is figuring out the angles of the paper.  Once I did that it was pretty simple.

This is what it looks like open

To make this card you are going to need the following cardstock cut at these measurements:

Whisper White  Thick Cardstock #140272

  • 6" x 10" score at 4", 6" and 8"  - you will need 2 of these
  • 3 1/2" x 4"
  • 2 1/2" x 4" - this is for the label on the band
  • 1 1/2" x 10" -  this is for the band

To make it easier on myself I numbered the panels from left to right #1, #2, and #3 (#3 will be the largest of the panels),

Panel #1  -  1 3/4" x 2 3/4" you will need 4 of these. 2 in Blackberry Bliss and 2 in Wildflower Fields DSP

Panel #2 - 1 3/4" xx 4 1/8" you will need 2 of these in the Wildflower Fields DSP

Panel #3 - 1 3/4" x 5 1/2" you will need 4 of these. 2 in Blackberry Bliss and 2 in Wildflower Fields DSP

Blackberry Bliss Cardstock #133675

  • 3 3/4" x 4 1/4"
  • 2 1/2" x 4" - this is to cut out the label on the band

Wildflower  Fields DSP (Sale-A-Bration)

  • 3/4" x 4 1/4"
  • 1 1/2" x 4 1/4"

I stamped the Blackberry Bliss paper with Petite Petals stamp set #133155 with Blackberry Bliss ink.  I used markers lost lagoon, calypso coral and old olive to color in the flowers.

Here is a picture trying to show you what the blackberry bliss paper looked like stamped.

I hope you can see it.  The card needed a little something when I was making it and now it looks so pretty.

I had a lot of fun designing this card and hope you enjoy it.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

Happy Stampin!

Thinking of You Sympathy Card

I am in love with the colors Night of Navy and Calypso Coral together.  I love it so much that I used them to make a card for my Creative Fold Class I had last week.  I will share that card with you soon!  There is just something that catches my eye when they are together.  I am even drawn to them in stores.  I wonder why I don't have those colors in my home?  Hmmm I may just have to change that.  LOL

I used the stamp set Grateful Bunch #140691 and it has a matching punch Blossom Bunch Punch #140612.  You can also buy this set as a bundle and save 15%.  I love it when I can save money.  I also used the stamp set Thoughts and Prayers #127805.

This is my go to stamp set for Sympathy and Get Well Cards.  You can make this card for any occasion which I like.  A lot of times I will make up cards and wait to put the saying on it until I need it.  That what I can customize them for any occasion.

The products and measurements for this card are:

Calypso Coral Cardstock #122925 for the base

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • a scrap to cut out the salutation

Whisper White #100730

  • 2 pieces at 4" x 5 1/4" one for inside the card and one for the front
  • scrap piece for the salutation and to stamp the calypso coral flowers

Night of Navy 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon #134571

The inside of the card I added a little butterfly on the bottom to dress it up a little bit.  I like to put butterflies on sympathy cards as they are a symbol for new life.  Just a little something for the person you are sending the card to that the person they lost has a new life with Jesus.

I hope everyone has a fabulous day!  Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Stampin!

Easter projects from the past

I enjoy making cards with punch art and this is one of my favorites.  If you don't know what Punch Art is, it is when you use punches to make things such as animals, flowers, cars, trains, really anything.  If you remember recently I made an Olaf card, he is considered a punch art. I love to take a punch and see what else can you make with it or if you need a particular shape, what punch can I use to create it.

We made this cute little guy last year in one of my Stamp Camps.  He is easy to make, so it was great when I had to make a bunch of them.

I made this basket for my daycare kids last year.   I filled it up with goodies and of course, there was a little bit of candy in it.  They all loved it!  I used the Berry Basket Bigz L Die and punches to make him.

This bunny I made using the Fry Box Bigz L die.  I made these for the bus drivers for my daycare kids.  I am thinking of making them again as they have new drivers this year.  I put some candy in the 4 x 6 cellophane bags #102757 and tied a ribbon around the bag to close it.  If I remember correctly I cut a little off the top of the bags it was too tall.

I hope these projects give you some inspiration for Easter this year.  If you have any questions on them, please leave a comment or email me and I will be happy to help you.

Have a great day!
