HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!  I can't wait to see all my little ones in their costumes!  They are going to be sooooo cute!!!!

I am not a big Halloween person, I would say I am more of a fall person.  I love the cute things about Halloween, but not the scary part.  I am a real whimp when it comes to scary stuff.

When I saw this plaque at Michael's I knew right away what I wanted to do with it.  I was so excited when I got home that I started working on it right away.  I have had it done for quite a while, but wanted to save it for today.

I have used several different products on this project.  They are:

Stamp Sets:

Acorny Thank You, Cookie Cutter Halloween, Sheltering Tree and Vintage Leaves

Framelits:

Flourish Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Layering Oval Framelits, Leaflets Framelits

Punches:

Acorn Builder and Cookie Cutter Builder

Paper:

Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White

Ink:

Crushed Curry, Early Espresso,  Rich Razzleberry

Markers:

Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi

Here are some closeups of different sections.

I love it when Mark really likes something I make and this is one of the projects he loves.  I can't wait to hang this up in my home!

Tomorrow I will have a NEW PRODUCT  to share with you!!!  I am so excited about it!  I am placing an order very early tomorrow morning to get it.  I know you are going to love it too!

Have a fabulous Halloween!

Happy Stampin!

Can you believe this is the last Friday for my Fall Friday Series?!  I will be posting my final project on Halloween, Monday, October 31st.  I have throughly enjoyed doing this series.  I hope you have too.

This weeks project is a bigger box than I usually make.  Every year I make up a little goodie box for my girls for Halloween.  This year, I kinda went a little crazy and needed a bigger box.  So, off to my craft room to create one.  It looks like a medium size milk carton, which it pretty darn cute if I say so myself.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Halloween Night 12" x 12" Card Stock Pack #142023

  • cut the Basic Gray at 9 7/8" x 12"

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock #105117

  • scraps for the tags

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • scraps for the vampire and tags

Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper #142022

  • cut 4 at 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"

On the Basic Gray piece of paper you will need to do the following:

  • on the 9 7/8" score at 2 7/8" from each side
  • on the 12" score at 2 7/8", 5 3/4", 8 5/8", 11 1/2"
  • cut the bottom 1/2" x 2 7/8" section off
  • cut on the score lines from the bottom of the paper up to the first score line
  • use a strong adhesive (such as Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape) on the 1/2" section
  • adhere the sides together
  • overlap the bottom pieces to for the bottom of the box
  • pinch the top together and clip with the Gold Binder Clips

You will then adhere the Designer Series Paper and decorate the box.  Below is a picture of how to cut and score the paper

FullSizeRender

The bottom is where you will cut up to the first score line.  This is the bottom of the box.

This is a pretty easy box to make and you can make it for any occasion.

Time of Year with Blooms and Bliss DSP

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Time of Year #141790, Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper #141654, esigned by Stampin Scrapper, please see more card and gift ideas at stampinscrapper.com

This was my featured card on my Stampin Scrapper Weekly Tips and Inspiration Newsletter.  If you haven't signed up for my newsletter and would like to click HERE. I wanted to showcase one of the Designer Series Paper packs that are on sale until October 31st.  I will have to say this is one of my favorite packs.  There is even a stamp set that coordinates with this paper, Blooms & Wishes.

On this card though I used the hostess stamp set Time of Year.  One of the things I like about this stamp set is you can use it for many different occasions.  I added a little bit of bling with the little flower made from Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.

I love this angle on the picture below.  You can see how I have added dimension with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Bliss and Bloom Designer Series Paper #141654

I used a rhinestone on the "i" of Thinking just for a little bit of bling.  Love this card!!!

I want to thank everyone of you that have liked my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page.  I am now at 500 likes!!!!!  I was so excited that I started dancing around the kitchen.  The daycare kids were laughing at me.  They kept saying Joycie is being silly.  You bet I was!!!

Vintage Leaves Baby Wipe Technique

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Vintage Leaves #138802, Stampin' Up! Wetlands #126697, Baby Wipe Technique, designed by Stampin Scrapper, please see more card and gift ideas at stampinscrapper.com

The baby wipe technique is such a fun and pretty technique.  You can get a different look every time you ink your stamp.  I bet you are wondering just what is this technique.  Let me tell you!!!

You take 4 baby wipes (make sure they are the unscented ones) and put them on top of each other on a paper plate or I use a Standard stamp Cases #119105.  These are the ones that the clear and photopolymer stamp sets come in.  They work perfect.  You are then going to take  ink refills in as many colors as you would like, but I usually don't use more than 4 of them.  On this project I used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi.  You will put drops of each ink refill on the baby wipes and make sure there are no white areas left.  You want to make sure that you have ink to cover your stamps.

You will then use the baby wipes as your ink pad.  Look how different the two cards are above.  I used the same baby wipes, the only different is the one on the right was stamped right away and the one on the left I stamped about 30-45 minutes later.  So, the longer you leave the inks on the baby wipes they lighter the image will be once it is stamped.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Wild Wasabi Card Stock #108641

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 1 1/2" x 2 1/4"

Crushed Curry Card Stock #131199

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Early Espresso Card Stock #119686

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2"  use this to stamp your leaves and cut them out
  • cut at 1 1/2" x 2 1/4"

You will use the Leaflets Framelits to cut out your leaves.  I also stamped one of the leaves in the inside of my card and envelope. I also used the Tangerine Tango ink and sponges to go around the leaves to give them dimension.

Here are two close ups of the two cards so you can see the difference between the colors.

Which one do you like best?  The lighter or darker one?

Over the weekend Erica and I went with our friends to Disney on Ice. It was a lot of fun and the girls absolutely loved it.  I would recommend anyone who has children if you get a chance to go see it!

Have a fabulous week!

Lovely As A Tree Christmas Card

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree item #127793, Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! Time of Year time #141790, Stampin' Up! Santa's Sleigh Thinlits item #140278, designed by Stampin Scrapper. Please see more card and gift ideas at stampinscrapper.com

I always tell my customers if they see something they want to make to please let me know.  There is two reasons why I like to get their input on our projects.   One is I can give my customers exactly what they are looking for and two, I can learn new things too.  This is one of those cards.   It is such a striking card, which I am not sure has come across my picture very well.

The Silver Glimmer paper just adds enough sparkle to make it special.  The Real Red bow on the white reindeer is perfect for this card.

You will need the following products to make this card:

Real Red Card Stock #102482

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 4 1/4"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 2  3/4" x 4"
  • cut at 2" x 3" for the reindeer
  • cut at 1" x 3 1/2"

Silver Glimmer Paper #135314

  • cut at 2" x 3"

I have a couple of tips for you when you make this card.

  • stamp the trees on the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white paper first
  • lay the smaller white paper and center on the stamped white paper.  This way you can see where you need to stamp the trees so they are about the same level.
  • use the blender pen and the Always Artichoke ink to blend in the shadows under the trees
  • I popped up the two top layers (smaller red/white)
  • I popped the white reindeer and the banner
  • I stamped one tree on the inside of the card and the envelope

I think you will love this card as much as I do.

I try to teach my daycare children to share with their friends.  Well, they took it to heart the week and have shared their colds with me.  It has been a long time since I have felt this awful.  I pray that it doesn't go into my chest as it will kick up my asthma.  I will be spending a lot of time resting this weekend and trying to kick this.

The one thing I will be doing is Erica and I are going to go to Disney on Ice today with two of my little angels.  I am excited about that!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Fall Friday Week #8!!!  I am having so much fun making these projects to share with all of you!  I have a special one planned for you on Halloween.

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to make the bag with the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper, also known as DSP.  There are a lot of different designs in this pack of paper that absolutely perfect for Halloween, Fall and everyday cards/projects too!

To make this card you will need the following products:

Halloween Night Speciality DSP #142022

  • cut at 6" x 12"
  • cut at 2" x 5" - this is for one of the banners

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock #105117

  • 2" x 5"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • 2 1/4" x 6"

Below are pictures of how to put together the Mini Treat Bag. Sometimes it is easier to see something done, then to read it.  I am definitely a visual learner.

This is what the two piece will look like once you fold the score marks.

IMG_7082

You will put adhesive on the thin strip of paper on the right in the picture above.  You will adhere it to the bigger piece as seen below.

IMG_7083

You will then adhere the two back strips together followed by the bottom section.

You are now ready to decorate your treat bag!  I used the Cookie Cutter Halloween and Spooky Fun stamp sets and the Halloween Night Baker's Twine.

Here is the candy that I put inside the treat bag.

Father Christmas Tag Card

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Father Christmas stamp set item #142122, Stampin' Up! Hang Your Stocking item #142114, Stampin up Holly embossing folder item #141634, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards and projects go to stampinscrapper.com

When the 2016 Holiday catalog came out this was the first set on my list.  I love this set and plus the fact that it has an old fashion feel.  I know I will be using this set a lot during this holiday season.

The Holly Embossing Folder really adds texture to this card along with the ribbon.  At first I just had the one tag on it, but I knew it needed something more.  The This Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) works perfect with the colors of the card.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Crumb Cake Card Stock #120953

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2" x 4 1/4" ***

Cherry Cobbler Card Stock #119685

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

This Christmas Designer Series Paper #141628

  • cut at 2" x 4 1/4" ***

*** you are going to want to cut these two pieces just a hair under 2" to fit into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

I went around the Crumb Cake tag with a sponge and Crumb Cake ink.  Tie /8" burlap ribbon in a knot and adhere with a glue dot.

One tip I have for you is when you punch the tag with the This Christmas DSP, either punch 3 pieces together of the paper or add a piece of cardstock with DSP paper.  The DSP is a thinner paper and sometimes when you punch it alone it doesn't punch nice.

Shaving Cream Technique Card

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Falling Flowers stamp set #139556, Stampin' Up! Better Together stamp set #141736, shaving cream technique, happy birthday, designed by Stampin Scrapper, please see more card and gift ideas at stampinscrapper.com

The Shaving Cream Technique is such a fun technique!  You get to play around with shaving cream and get your hands messy.  It is like being a kid again.  I know my daycare children love to play in shaving cream and we haven't done that in a long time.  I think it time to do it again.

You will need shaving cream, of course, a paper plate, ink refills, popsicle sticks and lots of paper towels to do this card.  The first thing is to fill your paper plate with the shaving cream, but don't pile it high, just fill it in all over.  You then will take your refills and put drops of each color on the shaving cream.  The amount of ink and the colors of ink will determine the look you will get in the finished project.  On this card I used Marina Mist and Tip Top Taupe ink refills and started with Marina Mist and then added the Tip Top Taupe.  You will notice in the above picture the different shades of each of the colors.  The color depends on how much you mix your colors.

You will then take your popsicle stick and swirl, like you do when you make a marble cake, the colors into the shaving cream.  DO NOT over swirl, you don't want to mix the colors together, you just want to blend them.  You take your piece of Whisper White card stock and lay it on top of the shaving cream.  You will want to tap it down a little to make sure your paper is covered with it.  I check mine first to make sure it is covered and if not, put it back in the shaving cream.  This is where you are going to need a lot of paper towels.  The next step is to wipe all of the shaving cream off and you will discover your beautiful creation!!

Let it dry for a while because it needs to be totally dry before you stamp on it.  You will need to use a strong adhesive, such as Fast Fuse, to adhere it to your card base.  It will be curled up a little on the edges, don't worry about it, just flatten it out with your hands.  If it doesn't flatten enough with your hands, just lay it down, with the back facing up, and put something heavy on it.  That will make it flatter in no time.

I then stamped the image from the Falling Flowers Stamp Set and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Better Together stamp set.  I added a few pearls on the flower to make it stand out a little more.

To make this card you will need the following supplies:

Night of Navy Card Stock #100867

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • scrap piece to punch out two pieces with the Decorative Label Punch

Whisper White Card Stock #100730:

  • cut  2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • scrap piece to punch out a piece with the Decorative Label Punch

Image 10-17-16 at 5.34 AM

Over the weekend I was in Wisconsin on a business retreat and got to spend it with all of these wonderful ladies.  I have learned so much from all of them, especially from Lisa.  Lisa is a wonderful speaker, teacher and owner of Big Ink Academy.  I know I will definitely be attending more of her training sessions in the future.

We stayed at this adorable, I mean absolutely adorable, place called Gather in Waunakee, WI.  A demonstrator bought an old restaurant and turned it into a place to go and craft and stay for a day, weekend, week, however long you want to.  She did such a fabulous job decorating it.  I wish she was closer, because I would definitely be staying there more often.

Have fun, try new colors and go create!  I know you will love it!

Happy Stampin!
