stampin up, Stampin' Up! Avant Garden #143272, Cool Treats #142982, designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of January already?  Where is the time going?  It seems like I turn around and another month is gone.  Time needs to slow down.

I am using my favorite stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog again!  Isn't it so cute?  This is one of the make and takes from my open house.  This is an easy card that is great to make multiples of.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Pear Pizzazz Card Stock #131201

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1.2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2" x 3 "

Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock #141418

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 2" x 3"

The first thing I stamped was the Smoky Slate dots in each of the corners, then the flowers in Sweet Sugarplum.  I used the leaves in the Pear Pizzazz ink and the center of the flowers in Rich Razzleberry.

On the inside of the card and on the envelope I stamped the flowers too.  Below is a picture of the inside of the card.

On Friday night Mark and I started watching the TV series This Is Us. We had heard so much about it and thought we would check it out. Can I say we have been binge watching it all weekend.  I am in love with the show and now know what everyone has been talking about. Have you seen it?  If not, I highly recommend it.

Have a great week!

Watercolor In The Meadow

stampin up, Stampin" Up! In the Meadow #140754, Aqua Painters #103954, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

This is the final card that we made at my Watercolor class.  I wanted to do a masculine card, so I went to Pinterest for inspiration.  I saw a card similar to this one and though it was perfect.   You could use this for birthday, Father's Day, Anniversary or a just because card.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Old Olive Card Stock #100702

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Chocolate Chip Card Stock #102128

  • cut at 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Watercolor Paper #122959

  • cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

I started by stamping the two images using Stazon ink.  Then I used Old Olive ink for the hills and Garden Green ink for the grass and trees.  The deer and trunks of the trees were watercolored with Chocolate Chip ink.  I used Sky Blue ink for the sky.

For your envelope and inside your card you could stamp the trees or the deer, but don't use the aqua painters.  I just stamped them without coloring them.

At my watercolor class we also played with the new Watercolor Pencils.  These were such a popular item with Stampin' Up! that they ran out of them.  Don't worry though, they will be back.  I will let you know as soon as they are.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the cards we made at my class.  You will be seeing more watercoloring in the future from me.  I am in love with it.  I need to keep playing and learning more about it so I can share with all of you.

Have a blessed Sunday!

Watercolor Sitting There

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Sitting Here #141589, Thoughts and Prayers #127805, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more ideas, cards, gifts, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

One of my customers, Judy, has been asking me to do a watercolor class with the stamp set, Sitting Here.  She fell in love with it the minute she saw it in the annual catalog.  Our schedules finally lined up and I had the class last Saturday.

When I saw this card on Pinterest, created by Stampin with Sandi,  I knew this was a great card to teach how to do shading on and around the swing and the flower pot.  I used the tree from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set for the leaves of the tree.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Marina Mist Card Stock #119682

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock #141418

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Watercolor Paper #122959

  • cut at 3 3/4" x 5"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

I have found that the best adhesive to attach the Watercolor Paper is to use the Fast Fuse Adhesive.  Your Watercolor paper will be bent a little bit because of the water.  By using the Fast Fuse adhesive, on the edge of the paper, it will hold it down and lay flat.

Judy was so happy with how her card turned out.  I was so glad she liked this card and had fun making it.

Have a terrific Friday and weekend!

Watercolor Dragonfly Dreams

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams #142924, Avant Garden #143272, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies #1142749, Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372, Layering Oval Framelits #141706, Wink of Stella #141897, Aqua Painters #103954, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more ideas, cards, gifts, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

Last Saturday I had my watercolor class and oh my goodness we had so much fun!!  The above card is the first card that we made.  I wanted to teach them how to do the background as this is the easiest thing to learn.  We used Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder inks to make the background.

We then used the Dragonfly Detail Framelits, Layering Oval Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The stamp set, Avant Garden, was used to make the flowers and sentiment.

I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle on the dragonfly with the clear Wink of Stella.  In the picture below you can see how it just add the right touch.

Fullsizeoutput_bc0

You can earn the stamp set FREE during Sale-A-Bration. For every $50 you spend, before shipping and taxes, you can pick a FREE item from the mini-catalog.

To make this card you are going to need the following products:

Wisteria Wonder Card Stock #122922

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Pool Party Card Stock #131203

  • cut at 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"

Whisper White Card Stock  #100730

  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Watercolor Paper #122959

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

On the dragonfly I only adhered the middle of it so the wings would be loose with the Multi Purpose Glue.  I then popped it up with the Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the flowers and sentiments I found that it was easier if you first cut out the oval and then stamped it.  The Avant Garden stamp set is photopolymer so it is easy to line everything up.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a terrific Tuesday!

Open House was a huge success

IMG_7853

Yesterday I had my open house for the Sale-A-Bration and Occasions catalog.  It was so much fun and a huge success!!!  I had my friend Theresa sign up to be a demonstrator with me as her upline!  I am so excited to have her on my team, the Joyful Butterflies.

I didn't get any pictures when everyone was here, because I totally forgot and really didn't have the time.  I was so blessed to have a lot of people attend and drool over the new products.   It was wonderful to see all my wonderful friends who are also my customers.  I have the best people in my life.  They have been so supportive of me and my journey with Stampin' Up!

Here are more pictures of my craft studio and displays.  In this picture I am standing at the bottom of the stairs looking to my left.

I am in love with this card.  It is so simple, classy and elegant and you can use this card for any occasion.  This is also one of the type of cards that you can change the colors and it will give you a whole new look.  This is an easy card that is great for making multiples.

To make this card you will need the following products:

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 4 3/4"

Whisper White Card stock # 100730

The top three layers were put together with Snail adhesive and then the ribbon was wrapped around it.  I then used Stampin Dimensionals to pop it up.  I added three Rhinestones to the top right corner to give it a little bling.  I used the same stamp on the inside of the card and on the envelope.

It is a busy weekend with a lot of friends.  Last night 3 of my friends and I got together to celebrate Christmas.  There was a lot of sickness over the holidays, so this was the earliest we could get together.  That's ok, it makes Christmas last longer and who doesn't love that.  Today I am having my Watercoloring class, which I will be sharing with you next week.  I can't wait to share the cards I designed with my customers.  I think they are going to love them.

On Sunday I am going to have my open house for the 2017 Sale-A-Bration and the Occasions catalog.  I cant wait!  I will share pictures with you next week.

I am so thankful that I get to spend my weekend with a lot of my friends and share my love of Stampin' Up!

Have a fabulous weekend!

 Happy Stampin!

Garden in Bloom Sympathy Card

stampin up, Stampin" Up! Garden in Bloom #139433, Flourishing Phrases #141534, Lovely Lace Embossing Folder #13373, 3/8" Ruched Ribbon #141424, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more ideas, cards, gifts, scrapbooking, 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

Nobody likes to make sympathy cards, but I find making masculine ones even harder.  You could make this more feminine just by changing the colors.  Lately I have been drawn to the blues and grays together.  In this card I used the colors of Dapper Denim, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Basic Gray Card Stock #121044

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Dapper Denim Card Stock "141414

  • cut at 2 1/8" x 5 1/2"

Basic Black Card Stock #121045

  • cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut at 3" x 4 1/4"

I used the Lovely Lace embossing folder to give the Dapper Denim some texture.  I used the dimensionals to pop up the black and white layer.  The ribbon is wrapped around the white layer only.

I used the same flowers to stamp the inside of the card and the envelope in Dapper Denim and Smoky Slate ink.

I was suppose to have my open house yesterday for Sale-A-Bration and the new Occasions catalog, but had to cancel due to weather. We had ice yesterday, thankfully not as much as they said there was going to be.  I have rescheduled it for next Sunday, which turns out to be better.  More people are able to attend, including some new people.  I can't wait to meet them!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a marvelous Monday and a great week.

Happy Stampin!

Masculine Birthday Card using Wetlands

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Wetlands #126697, created by stampin scrapper, for more ideas, cards, gifts, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

Two pieces of paper, one ink and one framelit is all that is needed for this easy masculine card.  I don't know about you, but sometimes I struggle with cards for the men in our lives.   Wetlands is one of my go to stamps when I need a card for a gentleman.

You will need the following products to make this card:

Basic Black Card Stock #121045

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 3"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at  1/4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 3"

I used the Layering Framelits to cut out the circles.  When I stamped the "Birthday Wishes" (you need to get it close to the goose) I made sure the right hand side of my stamp was in the middle of the neck of the goose.  Then it will fit perfectly.

I used snail adhesive to attach everything and stamped the wheat stamp on the inside of the card and my envelope.

I am having my open house today (if the weather cooperates).  I can't wait to share the new catalogs with everyone.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Stampin!
