I was trying to figure out what card to make for my Stamp Camp last week when the card on the left fell off my wall and landed right at my feet. I don't know if you noticed in my pictures of my craft room that I had cards hanging up on the wall. The cards up there are the first ones that I made when I started Stampin' Up!
I picked up the card and instantly knew I could make this card, change the colors, stamp set and how I did the sentiment and I could have a new card! The card on the right is the one we made at Stamp Camp using the Avant Garden stamp set from Sale-A-Bration.
I have used the small flower and leaves a lot from this stamp set a lot, but I haven't used this flower. I love how it turned out. Do you know how I made the background? I used my clear blocks (the ones we use with our clear and photopolymer stamps) and my ink pads. You take you clear block and ink it up with what ever ink pad you would like. You then stamp it on to your paper and make sure you press hard all over the block to get the best coverage. You won't get a solid image, but that is ok. You want a little bit of shading in ink, it gives it character. I used the following colors, blocks and the order I stamped them.
- Block H with Blushing Bride ink with the long side going up and down
- Block E with Pool Party ink with the long side going up and down
- Block B with Mint Macaron ink with the long side going up and down
- Block A with Mint Macaron ink with the long side going up and down at the top of the paper and with the short side going up and down at the bottom of the paper
To stamp the flowers, I stamped it twice, I used black Memento ink. I also stamped the inside of the card and the envelope with one of the flowers.
I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White paper and used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut it out. The Layering Oval Framelits with Blushing Bride paper made the back layer of the oval. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the ovals to the paper. To give it a little bit of bling I added 3 of the largest size Rhinestones on the top left hand corner.
Here is a picture of just the card that we made at Stamp Camp.
Today we are having a family day as Emily has to go back to Texas tomorrow. :( It has been so nice having her home. Time will go fast until we see her in July.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
