Sneak Peek - Painted Harvest

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest stamp set #144783, Stylized Birthday stamp set #141828, designed and created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

While I was creating this card I was thinking of cool days, fresh crisp air, bonfires, pumpkins, leaves turning colors, football (Mr. Wonderful loves watching college football) and everything pumpkin spice.  Fall is my favorite time of the year.  Then I was wanting to put up my fall decorations, but since it is August, I don't think the time is right yet.   LOL

This stamp set, Painted Harvest, is in the new 2017 Holiday catalog.  I love the whole Painted Autumn suite!  You will be seeing me use this stamp set and the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper a lot in the next few months.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Soft Suede Cardstock #115318

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

The colors I used to stamp the images are:

Flowers: Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight with Soft Suede in the center

  • stamp the first step with Daffodil Delight and then with Crushed Curry ink for the second step
  • On the center of the flowers there is suppose to be an almost white spot in it.  You do not have a defective stamp.

Leaves:  Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz

  • stamp the first step with Pear Pizzazz and then the Garden Green after it has been stamped off first.

    Happy Birthday:  Soft Suede

I stamped a flower in the inside of my card along with my envelope.

This stamp set will not be available for purchase until September 1, 2017.  If you don't have a demonstrator and would like to get a catalog, please let me know.  I will be happy to send you one.

Daisy Delight with Happy Birthday Thinlit

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight stamp set #143669, Daisy Punch #143713, Delightful Daisy DSP #144137, 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon- Daffodil Delight #144416, Faceted Gems #144141, designed and created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I was looking outside my window yesterday and was a little sad that our daisy's are finished blooming for the year.  We have a stray one here and there, but that's it.  This card was made with no stamp set or ink.  I used the Happy Birthday Thinlits and the Daisy Punch along with cardstock and the beautiful Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  Did you see the ribbon?  It is called double stitched ribbon which means there are "x" on one side and the other side looks like stitching.

This is the ribbon I like so much that I have order 6 spools of it.  LOL Whenever I was placing an order at the beginning of the catalog launch I would add it on to my order.  I did that 3 times!  What is really sad is that I only have 2 left.  I guess I really do like it.

To make this card you need the following materials:

Night of Navy Cardstock #100867

  • cut at 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" for the Happy Birthday
  • cut at 5 1/2" x8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Daffodil Delight Cardstock #119683

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 2 3/4 x 5" to punch out the flowers
  • cut at 3 1/2" x 4 3/4
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for this inside of the card

Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper #144137

  • cut at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

To make the Happy Birthday easier to stick down I used our new Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets.  I was so excited when I saw them return in the annual catalog.  If you haven't tried them, you will love them once you do.  I had some left from when we use to sell them, but I have to admit I was hoarding them.  LOL  Now I can buy more!

I punched out 2 of the daisy flowers and staggered them to give it a fuller look, which I like.  For the center of the flower I used the Faceted Gems in gold (I used the largest sized one).  I attached my ribbon first and then added my daisy, but I laid my daisy down where I wanted it for a guide of where to put my ribbon.  The daisy is adhered using a dimensional to give it height and to go over the ribbon.

This is a fun and easy card to make for a birthday, especially a summer birthday.

CoffeeandChatStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman2

It was a busy weekend at our house.  On Friday, for two of my angels, it was their last day with me taking care of them.  I have to say, this is the hardest part of my job.  I love these children so much and when they leave it breaks my heart.  Heck, I am crying while I am typing this and its been three days.  I know they will do great, but it is still hard.  I think the hardest part is, they won't remember me because they are 3 and 4 years old.  Can you remember anything when you were that age?

On Saturday I went to Stamp Away (it is a convention of different companies selling all things to do with paper crafting) with my best friend Robin.  We both wanted to go to the Stamp n Storage booth.  If you are in need of storage for your crafting supplies, I highly highly recommend them.  Click HERE for their website.  The two of us definitely bought out share of things from them.  I can always find places to add more pieces to what I already have.

When we got home Mr. Wonderful and I went looking at countertops for the kitchen and carpet for our upstairs.  We are slowly trying to update our house (which is 18 years old) and are almost finished with the upstairs.  We decided on our countertops!  Yay! They have been ordered and hopefully they will be here in about 4 weeks.  Now, time to really starting to look at carpet.

I hope you had a terrific weekend and have a marvelous Monday! Today is the beginning of a new week, make it special!

At Home With You

stampin up, Stampin' Up! At Home with You #143681, At Home Framelits #143272, Brick Wall Embossing Folder #138288, designed and created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Have you seen the stamp set and matching framelits called At Home With You?  These two were on my preorder list for our 2017-2018 annual catalog.  I thought of so many ideas for welcoming someone to the neighborhood, welcome card for friends and family who just moved, Christmas card, Halloween card and/or Thanksgiving card.  You can make the door open or keep it shut as I did on this card.  I used this card for a friend of mine that had moved into a new house.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Powder Pink Cardstock #144244

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Smoky Slate Cardstock #131202

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5  3/8"

Crumb Cake Cardstock #120953

  • cut at 4" x 4 1/2"

Soft Suede Cardstock #115318

  • cut at 2 1/2"  x 4 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/2"
  • scrap pieces for the wreath, lanterns and flower pots

Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack #144131

  • cut at 3/4" x 2 1/4"

I used the Soft Suede ink to stamp the door on the Soft Suede cardstock.  I sponged Crumb Cake ink on the Crumb Cake paper after I embossed it with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.

I used the following markers to color the other images and cut them out with the matching framelits.

Lanterns:  Soft Suede and Crushed Curry

Wreath: Berry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Fresh Fig

Flower Pots: Berry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Fresh Fig

You can stamp a sentiment on the mat by the door or leave it blank as I did.

What would you create with this stamp set?

Thank you stopping by today!  I hope you have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!

My First Video - A Sneak Peek

IdiditstampinscrapperJoyceWhitman

I finally took the plunge and made my first video!  Guess what?!  I had so much fun making it!  I am not sure why I was nervous and waited so long to make one.  I have a lot to learn about editing, so I didn't do much on this one.  I was able to figure out how to put my logo in the beginning.  Yay!  I did not do any editing to the video itself.

This video is a sneak peek at the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  I am in love with this catalog and I think you will be too.  There are so many fun new products to create beautiful projects.  I can't wait to start playing with them and create projects to share with all of you.

Here is the video!

When you are finished watching the video, could you be so kind and give me a thumbs up?

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a terrific Thursday!

2 Projects Using The Wood Crate Framelits

stampin up, Stampin' Up! This Little Piggy stamp set #143922, Wood Crate Framelits #143730, Santa's Sleigh Thinlets, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Do you have the Wood Crate Framelit yet?  If not, this is one I highly recommend to add to your must have list.  Oh, my goodness, there are so many things you can make with it.  I am having so much fun playing with it.

The project on the left, made with the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits, was my thank you gift for my Christmas Card class attendees.  My friend, Sherry Wayt, designed this and was so gracious to share it with me.  Wouldn't these make great little gifts for your coworkers, friends and/or family?

The project on the right I made for my sister and her 4H club members.  The cute little pig came from the stamp set This Little Piggy.  Erica is helping my sister and her family at the fair this week and I wanted to make a little gift for everyone. They loved them!  My nephew's son loved it so much that he is including one in his thank you gift to the buyer of his pig.  That made my day!

For the sleigh and reindeer you will need the following products:

On my project I used Red Foil paper that has been retired, but you can use the Red Glimmer paper instead.

For the Pig project you will need the following products:

I have been wanting to do videos for along time, but never found the courage to do it.  Over the weekend I made my first video!  I am not sure why I waited.  I loved it! I can't wait to make more of them.

Now, I am learning how to edit and get it loaded to YouTube.  As soon as I have figured all of this out I will be posting it for all of you to see.

Thank you for stopping in today!  I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Colorful Seasons Card

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons stamp set #143726, Seasonal Layers Thinlits #143751, designed and created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Don't you want to be sitting on this chair, relaxing and enjoying a beverage of your choice.  I know I sure would!   This card reminds me of summer, relaxing and the beach.  Does it get any better than that?

I wanted to do a card that was bright and cheery so I used the bright colors of Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise.  I also used the Colorful Seasons and High Tide stamp sets.  From the High Tide stamp set I used the sand stamp with Crumb Cake ink.  The rest is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  Did you notice the glass is two different colors?  To do this, I used our Stampin Markers.  Color each section with your marker (I used the big end of the marker) and then huff on the stamp.  The reason to huff on it is the ink your colored first was drying while you were coloring the other section on it.  To make sure you get a good image when you stamp you need to huff on the stamp to moisten the ink.

To make this card you will need the following:

Daffodil Delight Cardstock #119683

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Tempting Turquoise Cardstock #102067

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

Did you notice how the flowers on the branches and the chair and seat fit perfectly.  Isn't it wonderful!  Thank you Stampin' Up! for that.   There are so many color combinations you could use with these stamps.  The flowers, you could change with the seasons and Stampin' Up! has them all in a collection for you.  Subtles in the Spring, Brights in the Summer and Regals in the Fall.  What colors are you going to put together.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great Sunday!

Country Livin' Card for Erica

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Country Livin' stamp set #141925, Hardwood stamp set #133035, Layering Oval Framelits #141706, Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372, Designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more card, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Every time our girls leave to go back to Texas, college or now Michigan, I always make a card and hide it in their stuff.  I didn't think they really cared about them, but I was told they look forward to them.  I guess I will keep on making them.  It sure does make a momma feel good that they look for my cards while unpacking.  This is the card that I made for Erica when she moved to Michigan yesterday.  Boy was that hard!

Erica loves her cowboy boots, jeans and t-shirts, so this set was perfect for her.  I decided to go with the blue color, because she really doesn't like the color pink.  This card could definitely be used as a masculine card too.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Soft Sky Cardstock #131203

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Smoky Slate Cardstock #131202

  • cut at 3" x 5"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" this is for the inside of the card

Watercolor Paper #122959

  • cut at 3" x 5"

I used the Smoky Slate ink to stamp the woodgrain background onto the the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Soft Sky paper.  I adhered that piece to the card base using the Snail Adhesive and used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the Smoky Slate oval.

I used the colors of Soft Suede, Soft Sky and Dapper Denim to watercolor the boots.  I started with the Soft Sky ink all over the boots making the edges a little bit darker than the center.  I then added the Dapper Denim in so I could darken the creases and natural shading.  The straps and soles were done with the Soft Suede ink.   Then I lightly used the Smoky Slate ink to add a shadow underneath the boot and Soft Suede for the dirt lines at the back of the boot. Here is a close up picture of the boots, so you can see the shading better.

tampin up, Stampin' Up! Country Livin' stamp set #141925, Hardwood stamp set #133035, Layering Oval Framelits #141706, Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372, Designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more card, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

This was a fun card and sad card to make all at the same time.  On one hand it was a fun card because I love to watercolor, but on the other hand it was a sad card.  Erica began the next chapter in her life yesterday by moving far away.  I know she will do great and she is around all of my family, but I still miss her.  I know this is what we are suppose to do, but, Man, it is hard!

My preorder came yesterday and OH MY GOODNESS!  You are going to love the new holiday catalog.  I can't wait to get into my goodies, but first I get to have fun at my Christmas Card Class tonight.  I love these classes!

Don't forget if you earned your Bonus Days Coupons in July to use them this month, you have until August 31st.  I used mine this morning on my preorder, it was so nice to have the them.

Carols of Christmas Available Today!!!!

Stampin up, Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas #146037, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Carols of Christmas stamp set and matching framelits are available for purchase today!  Stampin' Up! has released one of the new stamp sets from the Holiday 2017 catalog (which will be live on September 1st) today.  As a demonstrator we were able to preorder it and play with it.  I love this set, I think I say that about all the stamp sets I buy. Heck, I think I say that about all the  products from Stampin' Up! They are so awesome, how could you not love them!

When I look at stamp sets I always think of at least 3 ways I can make cards, scrapbooking or 3D project with it.  When I say this bundle, there were tons of different ideas floating around in my head.  What I like about this set is you can use it for so much more than just Christmas.  In the framelits, do you see the trees, they are perfect for a masculine card.  We all know how hard they are to come up with sometimes.  The stars and moon you can use one any card you are making.  The framelit on the right hand side is perfect for adding a design on any card for any occasion.  It really adds something special to a card.  Same thing with the two framelits in the middle that are for the corner of your card.  So pretty!  Look how many different cards you can get out of just using the framelits, then you add the stamp set and you have even more!  Now, that is a win, win!

Here is a video from Stampin' Up! showcasing the Carols of Christmas suite.

You can see the card I made with this stamp set by clickingHERE.

Don't forget if you earned your Bonus Days Coupons in July to use them this month, you have until August 31st.  I used mine this morning on my preorder, it was so nice to have the them.
