This weeks product of the week is all the wonderful punches that Stampin' Up! has.  Of all the products that are available through Stampin' Up! I have to say my favorite product is all of the punches.  If there is a punch in a catalog, I get it.  I don't sell or give away my old ones, because you never know when you will need one.  I use them a lot when I do punch art projects, like the animal gift bags I made for Erica.  If you missed that post, you can see it at Punch Art Fair Bags.

The gingerbread boy and girl are so stinkin cute on the cookie sheet!  I used three of our punches, the Cookie Cutter Builder, Detailed Trio and the Banner Triple.  To make the cookie sheet I used the Silver Foil paper and scored each side.  I used the new Detailed Trio punch to round the corners, to make it look like a real cookie sheet. The Triple Banner punch was used on the sentiment that I stamped in Real Red ink and is from the Half Full stamp set.

To make this card you will need the following products:

 Cardstock:

Real Red

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Whisper White

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 3/4" x 3 1/8" for the banner
  • cut at 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" for the gingerbread people

Silver Foil Sheets

  • cut at 2 3/4" x 4" score at 1/4" on each side of the 4" side

Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper

  • cut at 3 3/4" x 5"

The only thing I popped on this card was the gingerbread girl and boy.  Everything else I used Snail adhesive to adhere the pieces together, except for the bow I used a glue dot.

Thankful Thoughts (CT #162)

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Thankful Thoughts stamp set #141522, Tranquil Textures designer series paper #146331, 1/4" Copper Trim #144179, CASEing Tuesday #162, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

It's CASEing Tuesday!!!  I love participating in these weekly challenges.   Sometimes I copy the layout the same, like I did this week, and sometimes I take it in a total different direction.

Here is our inspiration card:

40104937_10215878549013589_8608595640785567744_n

My card this week is a easy peasy, lemon squeezey card.  My customers always laugh when I say that.  This is truly a very easy card to make.  I needed thank you notes for the orders customers placed this month and thought this would be a great layout for them.  You could change the sentiment to anything and use the same layout for a lot of different types of cards.

I used my Stamparatus for the sentiment since it had some thicker solid lines on it.  One thing I love about the Stamparatus is that you can stamp your image again and again, it will still be perfectly lined up.  How awesome is that, especially with the clear stamps.  The sentiment is from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set which was stamped with the Rich Razzleberry Ink.

I used a piece of the Tranquil Textures designer series paper and finished off the card with the Copper Trim Ribbon.  That's it!  Isn't that easy?  I made this card in under 10 minutes from start to finish.  I love cards like that, especially when I have to make a bunch of them.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Cardstock

Rich Razzleberry

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Whisper White

  • cut at 2 3/4 x 3 1/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card

Tranquil Textures designer series paper

  • cut at 1 1/2" x 4 1/2"

I didn't pop anything on this card, but you could easily pop the sentiment to give it some depth.

Christmas Card using Tufted Embossing Folder

On my Facebook Stampin Scrapper business page and my Stampin Scrapper VIP page I have started something new this week.  On Monday's I will have a product of the week and then through out the week I will post different things about the product.  This week my product of the week is embossing folders.

On this card I used the new Tufted embossing folder from the annual catalog.  This embossing folder was on the top of my wish list for this catalog.  I fell in love with it right away.  Then when I got it and started using it, oh my goodness, I was even more in love with it.  I used the Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments stamp set, which is also one of my favorites.  Yes, I do have a lot of favorites.  How could I not have so many?  Stampin' Up! has the best products!

To make this card you will need the following products:

Cardstock:

Cherry Cobbler

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Very Vanilla

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"

I wrapped the 1/4" Double-stitched Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler around the Very Vanilla piece of cardstock.   I added the sentiment that was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink and cut out with the Layering Oval Framelits.  I adhered the sentiment with Stampin Dimensionals.  For a little bit of texture I added pearls to the embossed piece of cardstock.   On one card I only put a few pearls and on the other card I went a little crazy with them.  LOL

Falling For Leaves Bundle (CT #161)

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Falling For Leaves stamp set #147680, Detailed Leaves Thinlits #147921, Bundle #149938, CASEing Tuesday #161, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stmapinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman
Happy Tuesday!!! It is time for CASEing Tuesday!  Today I am showing you a sneak peek to one of my favorite stamp sets in the new holiday catalog.

Fall time is my favorite time of the whole year.  I love the smells, especially bon fires, the cool weather and the colors of the leaves changing and sweatshirts.  The Falling For Leaves stamp set and coordinating framelits are so pretty.  I can't wait to show you this bundle and play more with it more.

Here is our inspiration picture for this week.

34397549_10213553043914848_8261193912513724416_n

Did you notice the embossed leaves on the card?  I made those with the framelit that is meant to cut out leaves.  How did I do it?  I used our new Big Shot Embossing Mats.  You can take any framelit and use it to emboss your paper!  How awesome is that!  I can't wait to try it with other framelits.

To make the card you will need the following products:

Cardstock:

Cajun Craze

  • cut at 5 1/2" x8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 3 3/4" x 6 1/2"

Blackberry Bliss

  • cut at 3 3/4" x 6 1/2"

Mossy Meadow

  • cut at 3 3/4" x 5"

Very Vanilla

  • cut at 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!

On the Mossy Meadow paper I stamped the leaves with the Mossy Meadow ink.  I then took my bone folder and ran it back and forth on the edges to make them roughed up a little bit.  When I put my adhesive on the back of the paper, I made sure I didn't go all the way to the edge.  I wanted the edges raised up a little bit.  Once it was adhered to the card base I raised the edges up by running my finger under it and bending it up a little.

For the sentiment I stamped it with Blackberry Bliss ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  On my envelope and inside of the card I stamped the leaf in Blackberry Bliss ink.

Snowflake Sentiment Christmas Card

Every year in August I start my monthly Christmas card classes and end in the month of November.  At this month's class, I used products that are in our annual catalog (our holiday catalog will go live on September 5th).  On this card we used the Snowflake Sentiment stamp set along with the Garden Trellis embossing folder.

To add color to this card, I used Under The Mistletoe designer series paper, Night of Navy cardstock  along with Real Red ink and ribbon.  This is the first time I have used the 3/8" Cotton Ribbon and I am in love with it!

For the sentiment, I punched it out using the Everyday Label Punch.  To make mat behind the sentiment, I punched out two of the Everyday Labels from Night of Navy cardstock.  See picture below for directions.

When you are finishing cutting the pieces, adhere #1 and #2 pieces to your sentiment.  Make sure that you have the same amount of border showing all around your sentiment.  I then used Stampin Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment.  To finish the card I added Rhinestones on each end of the sentiment.

Swirly Frames

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Swirly Frames #146519, Itty Bitty Greetings #146667, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

The other day I participated in a Use It or Lose It Creative Challenge with the training group I am involved with.  We were asked to use a stamp set that we bought from the annual catalog, but hadn't used yet.  I was looking through my stamps and came to the Swirly Frames stamp set.  I won this stamp set in April at the Stampin' Up! OnStage as a prize patrol and I remember being so excited when I got it.  I put it on my shelve when I got home and totally forgot about it.

Since it was a new stamp set I thought it would be fun to use new colors with it.  I randomly stamped the circle images on Whisper White cardstock for the background.  I then punched out a 1 1/2" circle of each of the colors and added them in the bottom right hand corner.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Cardstock:

Gorgeous Grape

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
  • scrap for 1 1/2" circle

Gray Granite

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • scrap for 1 1/2" circle

Blueberry Bushel

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • scrap for 1 1/2" circle

Whisper White

  • cut 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" for the front of the card
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card
  • scrap for the 1 1/2" circle

Only 16 more days until Erica moves home!  We are so excited!  Last August she moved to Michigan, my whole family is there, to try something new.  She has done great, but I knew she was thinking about the possibility of moving home.  Once she made the decision to come home, it has been amazing to see God's hand in this transition.  Everything has fallen into place and she already has a job!  She was able to transfer with her current company she works for.  What a blessing!

Life has been very busy, but it is a good busy.  When she moved out, we kinda took over her bedroom.  LOL  We are now in the process of changing things around in the bedrooms, so she can have her room back.  This has been a great time to go through things to see if we really need them or if we can donate them.  Mr. Wonderful just loves when I get on a cleaning and throwing out rampage.  Especially since I have been on steroids for my asthma.  I have had a lot of energy!

I hope you have a terrific Thursday and thank you for taking time out of your day to stop in.

Punch Art Fair Bags

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Punch Art Fair Gift Bags, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I have a fun project to share with you today!  Erica has been helping my family at the Northwestern Michigan Fair in Traverse City, MI for the last two years and has absolutely loved it!  My sister, Jan, and brother in law, Rudy, have a 4H group at the fair each year and Erica wanted to do something special for them this year.  She asked me if I could create a gift bag for each child, so she could put some little gifts in them to help keep the kids entertained while they were on the fairgrounds for 8 days.  Of course, I would make them!  I was so excited!

When I was talking to Erica about the bags we came up with the idea to design each bag to go with the animal they were showing at the fair.  It ended up that there were 10 kids, so I made 3 pigs, 3 sheep, 2 goats, one chicken and one rabbit.  Here is a picture of all of the animals before I put them on the bags.

I used a lot of different punches, current and retired, but I don't remember which ones I used as I didn't write them down.  I know I did go to Pinterest and look at a lot of different punch art.  I CASE'd (create and share everything) some of them, others I took a little from this one and a little from that one and created my version.   I also made these in May, so it makes it even harder to remember.  You can check the ones I pinned on Pinterest at Stampin Scrapper.

You might be wondering why I haven't posted them until now, and the reason is I wanted to wait until Erica handed them out to the kids.  I know they are not following my blog, LOL, but I didn't want any of the parents seeing them either.  My sister didn't even know we were making these.  Everyone was so surprised.  The best thing is the kids loved them!

All of them were so sweet and posed for a picture with their bags so I could put them on here.

The picture on the bottom left hand corner are my nephew's children.  They have grown so much since I saw them in April.  It is times like this that it is hard being away from family.  They are so stinkin cute!!!

I had a lot of fun making these for them and I have to say, I love creating 3D projects.  I think it is my favorite thing to design and create. I just don't do it as much as I want to.  I think I am going to have to change that for this upcoming holiday season.  In September I will be starting my Fall Friday projects, so I will have to make sure I made some 3D projects.  Make sure you check back for a new fall project every Friday from September 7th through October 26th.

Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop - Masculine

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Heartland stamp set #143892, Sunshine Sayings stamp set #141594, Watercolor Pencils #141709, Blender Pens #102845, Wood Textures designer series paper #144177, Layering Oval Framelits #141706, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Welcome to our Stamp 'N Hop blog hop!  This month our theme is masculine projects.  You have just come from Vicky Wright's post, isn't her project beautiful!

The other day I was in the mood to color, so I went through my stamp sets and picked out a couple to use.  I didn't have any particular style in mind, I just wanted to color.  I colored some other images, but I kept looking at this one from the Heartland stamp set.  This barn reminds me so much of the farm where I grew up.  Since our theme was masculine, I thought of my dad right away.  He would have loved this card.

When I first started designing the card, I had just the black cardstock over the image, but it was missing something, I just didn't know what.  I didn't want to use an embossing folder, I wanted something different.  I was looking at my designer paper, seeing if I could get any ideas there, and that is when I saw the Wood Textures paper.  Once I found the paper, then I had to decide which one to use.  There were so many that would have worked, but I like how this one has some brown, black and gray colors in it.  I have all of those colors in the image, so it was the perfect one to use.  I love how it makes the barn image really stand out.

I used our Watercolor Pencils with the Blending Pens to color the image.  Remember, when you use watercolors you need to Stazon ink when you stamp your images.  Otherwise, your stamped images will bleed into your coloring.

For the Happy Birthday sentiment I used the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and stamped it with Real Red ink on Crumb Cake cardstock.  I cut it out using the Layering Oval Framelits.

I hope you are enjoying all the other beautiful projects on this blog hop.  You can click on the button below to go to Linda's post.  I know you are going to love her project.
