I can finally share my display board with you!!!  I had so much creating with the  products from the new 2017-2018 catalog.  It has been hard keeping it quiet, but now I don't have to!!!!  You are going to love the new catalog.  I want everything in it!

I will be showing you all each product individually throughout the next month or so.

I had such a great time at OnStage.  I am not sure why I haven't gone before, but I know I will be going again.  Here are some pictures from my fun filled weekend.

On Friday while sitting up my display I got to meet Connie Stewart, one of my favorite demonstrators.  She is such a sweetheart!  I got to talk with her for about 20 minutes, which was the best part of my day. On Saturday I was able to get a picture with her.  I am not crazy about the look on my face, but I only got one picture with her, so I will take it.

The 3 MUSKETEERS!!!! Carla, Kim and I hung out together all weekend.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  We had been talking with each other on Facebook and text for a while, so it was nice to finally meet in person.  I can say, I have found 2 very good friends over the week.  They are the best!

Can you believe this is the last Friday for my Fall Friday Series?!  I will be posting my final project on Halloween, Monday, October 31st.  I have throughly enjoyed doing this series.  I hope you have too.

This weeks project is a bigger box than I usually make.  Every year I make up a little goodie box for my girls for Halloween.  This year, I kinda went a little crazy and needed a bigger box.  So, off to my craft room to create one.  It looks like a medium size milk carton, which it pretty darn cute if I say so myself.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Halloween Night 12" x 12" Card Stock Pack #142023

  • cut the Basic Gray at 9 7/8" x 12"

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock #105117

  • scraps for the tags

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • scraps for the vampire and tags

Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper #142022

  • cut 4 at 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"

On the Basic Gray piece of paper you will need to do the following:

  • on the 9 7/8" score at 2 7/8" from each side
  • on the 12" score at 2 7/8", 5 3/4", 8 5/8", 11 1/2"
  • cut the bottom 1/2" x 2 7/8" section off
  • cut on the score lines from the bottom of the paper up to the first score line
  • use a strong adhesive (such as Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape) on the 1/2" section
  • adhere the sides together
  • overlap the bottom pieces to for the bottom of the box
  • pinch the top together and clip with the Gold Binder Clips

You will then adhere the Designer Series Paper and decorate the box.  Below is a picture of how to cut and score the paper

FullSizeRender

The bottom is where you will cut up to the first score line.  This is the bottom of the box.

This is a pretty easy box to make and you can make it for any occasion.

Fall Friday Week #8 - Mini Treat Bag

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Cookie Cutter Halloween #142255, Stampin' Up! Spooky Fun #142236, Stampin' Up! Mini Treat Bag Thinlits #137547, designed by Stampin Scrapper, please see more card and gift ideas at stampinscrapper.com

Fall Friday Week #8!!!  I am having so much fun making these projects to share with all of you!  I have a special one planned for you on Halloween.

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to make the bag with the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper, also known as DSP.  There are a lot of different designs in this pack of paper that absolutely perfect for Halloween, Fall and everyday cards/projects too!

To make this card you will need the following products:

Halloween Night Speciality DSP #142022

  • cut at 6" x 12"
  • cut at 2" x 5" - this is for one of the banners

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock #105117

  • 2" x 5"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • 2 1/4" x 6"

Below are pictures of how to put together the Mini Treat Bag. Sometimes it is easier to see something done, then to read it.  I am definitely a visual learner.

This is what the two piece will look like once you fold the score marks.

IMG_7082

You will put adhesive on the thin strip of paper on the right in the picture above.  You will adhere it to the bigger piece as seen below.

IMG_7083

You will then adhere the two back strips together followed by the bottom section.

IMG_7084

You are now ready to decorate your treat bag!  I used the Cookie Cutter Halloween and Spooky Fun stamp sets and the Halloween Night Baker's Twine.

Here is the candy that I put inside the treat bag.

This weekend is going to be filled with fun times!  I have my Stamp Camp tonight, going to the pumpkin farm on Saturday morning and Disney on Ice in the afternoon.  Then on Sunday we have our small group, which I am excited to go to as we have missed the last two weeks.  It is such a fun time to get together with friends and learn more about our faith.

I hope you have a great and blessed weekend!

Happy Stampin!

Fall Friday Week #4 - Ghirardelli Box

IMG_6894

In February I bought a small box with Ghirardelli chocolate in it and  I fell in love with the box.  The fact that it had chocolate in did not help in my decision to buy it.   LOL  When I started my series Fall Friday's I knew this was one of the projects I wanted to make.  So, here it is!

I took the box apart to see how they made it and came up with my version for it.  I love how it turned out and for sure will be making a lot more of them.  Wouldn't these be great for little treats for your coworkers, friends, family or anyone else you can think of.  Here is a close up of just the box so you can see it better.

IMG_6907

Look how adorable he is!!  I just love the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set!  Wait!  I think I have said that before.  I think you might hear that a lot from me over the next month or so.

To make this box you are going to need the following materials:

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock #105117

  • cut at 6 1/4" x 8 "
  • score on the 8" side at 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 6 1/2" and 7 1/2"
  • score on the 6 1/4" side at 1" and 5 1/4"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • scraps for the vampire and the sentiment

Halloween Night Specialty DSP #142022

  • 2 1/2" x 4"

You are going to be scoring your paper two more times, but I needed to explain it a little bit more.  I took pictures so you could see where you need to put your extra score marks and hopefully understand what I am trying to say better.

IMG_6914

This is what your paper will look like when you have all of your score marks done.  You will notice that there are 2 extra marks with "v" marks on the ends.  These are necessary to make the box fold on the sides correctly.  You are going to score down from the top of your paper to 3 inches.  Then you are going to measure up from the bottom 2 3/4 inches and make a mark on each of the two lines.  Here is another picture so you can see what I mean.

IMG_6912

Once you have your two marks on each line you are then going to take your ruler and stylus and create a score line from the mark you made to the end of the 3 inch score line.

IMG_6913

Now you have all your score lines done.  Next you are going to have to do some cutting.  We need to get rid of all of the sections we don't need to make the box.   Here is a picture so you can see where you need to cut.

IMG_6916

You can see on my template where I made a mistake in my measuring for where to put my marks.  Thank goodness for white out!  I also included on in this picture where you are going to want to put your tape.  I used Tear and Tape because I wanted to make sure it didn't come apart.

You will now fold on all of your score lines and be careful when you are doing your diagonal lines.  I did those only with my hands, I did not use my bone folder.  You are going to want to use your bone folder on all your other score lines for a crisp fold.  When you are making a box you want your folds to be crisp and straight.

I then stamped my images on my scrap piece of white paper and used black ink for the vampire and Pumpkin Pie ink for the sentiment.  I used the coordinating punch, Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, to the Cookie Cutter Halloween set for the vampire and the Classic Label Punch for the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Spooky Fun stamp set.  I just got this set and can't wait to play with it.

I used the  Pumpkin Pie and Smoky Slate markers to color the vampire's shirt and vest.  The bow was made using the Halloween Night Baker's Twine.  I used both of the colors that you get when you order this twine.

To hold the flap down in the back, I put a glue dot underneath the flap in the center.

I have been wanting to start making videos and I am thinking this project would be a good one to start with.  Hopefully soon I will be able to start making videos.  I just have to learn how to do them.

I hope you are enjoying my Fall Friday series.  I am having a lot of fun creating different projects for you.

Have a wonderful weekend and go create!  Please share your creations with me.  I love to see them!

Happy Stampin!

Botanical Blooms Hostess Gift

IMG_1335

On Sunday afternoon I had a fun time hanging out with a wonderful friend of mine, Stacy, who had a workshop.  It was great getting to meet new people and share my love for paper crafting and Stampin' Up!.  As her hostess gift I made her this card with the magazine card holder, pictured below.  I made 5 cards just changing the color of the flower on the front and the scallop circle behind the happy birthday. Thank you Dawn Griffith for giving me the idea for it.

When I first made the cards they looked kinda plain to me and knew I had to add something to them.  They were already assembled, so I knew I couldn't add embossing using a folder, although that would have looked great.  I went to the stamp set Botanical Blooms #140757 that coordinates with paper and framelits and found the little flower stamp.  It was perfect, because I could add it when the card was already put together.  It is amazing how one little stamp can make a difference on a card.  This stamp set and framelits are offered as a bundle #140819 for a 15% discount.

For the cards I used Wild Washabi #108641 as the base for all the cards.

The base is cut at 5 1/5" x 8 1/5" scored at 4 1/4"

Cajun Craze #119684 cut at 5 7/8" x 4 1/8"

Whisper White #100730 is cut at 5 1/4" x 4".

I used the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper #140583 on the front of the card and to decorate the box.

Baby Shower Card and Gift Card Holder

IMG_1328

Yesterday I had the honor of attending a baby/adoption shower for my friend Amanda.  Nathan, Amanda and their 3 children are adopting a beautiful girl, Joanna, from China.  We are all so excited for them and wanted to show them how much they are loved.

I had so much fun making the card, gift card holder and tag for the bag.  I got my idea for the card from another demonstrator Debbie Henderson and the matchbox gift card holder from Mary Fish.  I love how Stampin' Up! demonstrator share their ideas.  You can learn so much from others.

To make all three items I used the stamp set Something For Baby #134030, Teeny Tiny Wishes #127802 and Hardwood #133035.  The colors I used were Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, Pink Pirouette and So Saffron.  I also used the Baby's First Framelits #133735.

IMG_1332

I got finished the card and gift card holder and realized I forgot to buy a bag to put them in, of course it was right before the shower.  I went looking in my stash of gift bags and found this cute little bag that was the same color as the card.  How lucky was that!!!!  The scallops on the bottom of the tag were made with a retired border punch.

IMG_1331

This is the front of the gift card holder.  I will definitely be making more of these, as you can decorate it for any occasion.

IMG_1333

The card fits perfectly inside.  I couldn't have found a better design on the gift card as their  little one is a year old.
