Sneak Peek - Painted Harvest

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest stamp set #144783, Stylized Birthday stamp set #141828, designed and created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

While I was creating this card I was thinking of cool days, fresh crisp air, bonfires, pumpkins, leaves turning colors, football (Mr. Wonderful loves watching college football) and everything pumpkin spice.  Fall is my favorite time of the year.  Then I was wanting to put up my fall decorations, but since it is August, I don't think the time is right yet.   LOL

This stamp set, Painted Harvest, is in the new 2017 Holiday catalog.  I love the whole Painted Autumn suite!  You will be seeing me use this stamp set and the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper a lot in the next few months.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Soft Suede Cardstock #115318

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

The colors I used to stamp the images are:

Flowers: Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight with Soft Suede in the center

  • stamp the first step with Daffodil Delight and then with Crushed Curry ink for the second step
  • On the center of the flowers there is suppose to be an almost white spot in it.  You do not have a defective stamp.

Leaves:  Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz

  • stamp the first step with Pear Pizzazz and then the Garden Green after it has been stamped off first.

    Happy Birthday:  Soft Suede

I stamped a flower in the inside of my card along with my envelope.

This stamp set will not be available for purchase until September 1, 2017.  If you don't have a demonstrator and would like to get a catalog, please let me know.  I will be happy to send you one.

My First Video - A Sneak Peek

IdiditstampinscrapperJoyceWhitman

I finally took the plunge and made my first video!  Guess what?!  I had so much fun making it!  I am not sure why I was nervous and waited so long to make one.  I have a lot to learn about editing, so I didn't do much on this one.  I was able to figure out how to put my logo in the beginning.  Yay!  I did not do any editing to the video itself.

This video is a sneak peek at the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  I am in love with this catalog and I think you will be too.  There are so many fun new products to create beautiful projects.  I can't wait to start playing with them and create projects to share with all of you.

Here is the video!

When you are finished watching the video, could you be so kind and give me a thumbs up?

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a terrific Thursday!

Carols of Christmas Available Today!!!!

Stampin up, Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas #146037, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Carols of Christmas stamp set and matching framelits are available for purchase today!  Stampin' Up! has released one of the new stamp sets from the Holiday 2017 catalog (which will be live on September 1st) today.  As a demonstrator we were able to preorder it and play with it.  I love this set, I think I say that about all the stamp sets I buy. Heck, I think I say that about all the  products from Stampin' Up! They are so awesome, how could you not love them!

When I look at stamp sets I always think of at least 3 ways I can make cards, scrapbooking or 3D project with it.  When I say this bundle, there were tons of different ideas floating around in my head.  What I like about this set is you can use it for so much more than just Christmas.  In the framelits, do you see the trees, they are perfect for a masculine card.  We all know how hard they are to come up with sometimes.  The stars and moon you can use one any card you are making.  The framelit on the right hand side is perfect for adding a design on any card for any occasion.  It really adds something special to a card.  Same thing with the two framelits in the middle that are for the corner of your card.  So pretty!  Look how many different cards you can get out of just using the framelits, then you add the stamp set and you have even more!  Now, that is a win, win!

Here is a video from Stampin' Up! showcasing the Carols of Christmas suite.

Don't forget if you earned your Bonus Days Coupons in July to use them this month, you have until August 31st.  I used mine this morning on my preorder, it was so nice to have the them.

Carols of Christmas Sneak Peek

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas stamp set #144804, Card Front Builder Framelits, Stitched Shapes Frameltis #145372, Ruffled Embossing Folder #143699, Silver and Dazzling Diamond Glitter Paper, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

One of the benefits to being a demonstrator is getting to see and preorder products before they become available to the public.  The Carols of Christmas stamp set and matching framelits called, Card Front Builder, is one such stamp set.  The Holiday Catalog will become available to the public on September 1st, but as a demo I will get to see it on August 1st.  This stamp set, however, Stampin' Up! is releasing to all of you on August 1st!!!  Yay!!!  This is another one of those stamps that I when I saw it I knew I had to order it.  I had to wait a little bit before I could order it.  I didn't want a package to be sitting on our step while we were in Texas.  So, I was patient and waiting until we got home.  Can I tell you, that was hard to do.  I was seeing all these wonderful samples online I wanted to make and couldn't.

Deborah Newman, a fellow demonstrator, made this card and was so gracious to let me CASE (create and share everything) it.  Didn't she do an awesome job.  It is more stunning in person than I could get on this picture.  My customers coming to my Christmas Card Class in August will get the fun of making this as one of our cards.

To make this card, you will need the following products:

Smoky Slate Cardstock #131202

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Night of Navy Cardstock #100867

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 2 1/2" x 4" this is for the snow
  • cut at 3" x 3"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" this for the inside of the card

Daffodil Delight Cardstock #119683

  • scrap piece

Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper #135315

  • cut at 1" x 3 7/8"

Silver Glimmer Paper #135314

  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/2"

You are going to use the framelit with the moon and stars on the top of  your Night of Navy cardstock.  I then adhered the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to the back of it to make the stars shine and sparkle.  I then used a small piece of Daffodil Delight scrap paper and cut out the moon and adhered it with the Multi Purpose Glue.

When you use the Whisper White paper with the Ruffled Embossing Folder, you do not have to spritz it with water.  With the paper being thinner that normal cardstock, you do not have to spritz it with water to get the 3D effect.  If you use the Thick Whisper White cardstock, you would have to spritz it with water first.  When I put the paper into the embossing folder, I made sure that the bottom of the paper was right below one of the wave lines.  I went up to the second line above the bottom wave line on my paper and trimmed the paper right above line.  This gave it the look of a snow bank.  I then added Wink of Stella on the curvy lines so it looks like the snow is sparkling in the moonlight.

The trees are popped with dimensionals.  This is a perfect place to use the new mini dimensionals for the top of the trees.   They fit perfect.

On the inside of the card and on the envelope I used the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set.

Isn't this card beautiful?  Wait until you see the whole stamp set and framelits.  I am sure you are going to want them too.

This is a picture of the snow so you can see how I added the Wink of Stella to the waves to make them look like snow banks.
