Erica got the job!!!!!  We are so excited for her!  I can't believe my baby is leaving and moving to Michigan.  I know she will do great and will be around my family, but this sure isn't easy! I am going to miss her a lot.  Mark and I will become empty nesters next week.  Yes, I said next week.  She is moving next Thursday.  Needless to say, our life is going to be a little busy the next few days.

We are not able to take all of her stuff up next week due to both my husbands and my schedule, so we are taking the majority of her things to her in September.  This works out great because she will be staying with my mom and sister for a while.  We didn't think she would be moving up this fast, but everything happens for a reason.

I have been having fun playing with the new Carols of Christmas stamp set.  I worked on my Christmas cards for my classes on August 1st and 4th over the weekend.  I can't believe it is time to be working on Christmas projects already.

Do any of you suffer from Migraines?  I usually don't, but the last few days have been awful.  It started on Wednesday with a slight headache, but on Thursday it became a full migraine. You know the ones that even make your eyes hurt.  I usually don't go to bed before midnight, but on that day I was sleeping by 7:45pm.  My headache has come and gone all weekend and I still have it today.  I think it might be related to the weather.  We have had thunder storms come through almost daily and they seem worse after the storm.  I just want them to go away!

Have a fabulous Monday!

I have friends from all over the world.  How cool is that?! I have been a demonstrator for other companies and I have to say this is the first company where so many other demonstrators are willing to help each other.  I feel very blessed to be a part of this amazing Stampin' Up! family.

New 2017/2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog will be here tomorrow!!!!

stampin up, Stampin' Up! 2017/2018 Annual Catalog, Stampin Scrapper, Stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

The new catalog will be here tomorrow!!!

Oh My Goodness!!!  Wait until you see it!  It is absolutely beautiful. My list is already very long of all the new products I want.  You are going to love the new 2017/2019 In Colors.  I wonder what your favorite will be?

I will be handing out my catalogs at Stamp Camp on Friday and at my Open House on Saturday.  If you are unable to make it to either one and would like a catalog please let me know.   PLEASE NOTE:  I can only ship the catalogs in the USA

You can get the catalog 2 ways:

  • If you have ordered at least $50 (in one order this can't be accumulative) from me in the past year from June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017 I will send it to you free.  You should have already received it, but if not please let me know.
  • Catalogs are free, however, you will have to pay the $6.95 for the priority shipping (I do accept PayPal).  You can order it through Stampin' Up!, but you would have to pay for the catalog plus shipping and tax.

 Catalog Details:

  • the catalog is effective from June 1, 2017 - May 31, 2018 starting at 2:00pm ET
  • the Daisy punch will not be available for purchase on June 1st.  The reason is that it has been so popular with the demonstrators (that is one of the many benefits of being a demonstrator, you get to order the new stuff early) that they have almost already ran out.  They ordered 10,000 of the punches, which is usually more than enough for a whole year, and we, the demonstrators, ordered 7,200 of them in the first two weeks of preorder.  They are expecting a huge shipment in by June 26th and another shipment in in July.  Trust me, this punch is worth waiting for.  It is my favorite new punch from the preorder list.
  • all the stamp cases, pictured below, were carried over, but they were left out of the new catalog.  I cut the picture out of my old catalog and added it to my new catalog.  They should be on the bottom of page 217 in the new catalog.

Yesterday I was working on one of  my projects for my open house and the kids wanted to play too.  I had a bunch of little pieces of paper that were perfect for a little book.    It is was so fun!  Beckett made me a little book and  I asked him if I could put it out at my open house. You should have seen his little eyes shine.  It was so precious! Here are some pictures of the book and my angels.

Aren't they just the cutest little things you ever did see?  They just melt my heart!  I am so blessed.

Here is Beckett's book

This card is definitely a keeper!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Birthday Blog Candy!!!

Stampin up, Stampin' Up! Delicate Details, Sale-A-Bration 2017, Birthday blog candy, Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

In our home we love to celebrate birthdays.  We have a tradition that started out as a weekend, now is a week and is quickly growing to a month.  What is it you ask?  We have a birthday weekends.  So, over the weekend my family had to do whatever I wanted to do.  You get to pick the places we eat at if we are going out, what you want to do and get waited on.

To help celebrate my birthday, I am having blog candy!!!!  I am giving away the Delicate Details stamp set along with a Pink Pirouette ink pad.  For you chance to win, all you have to do is leave me a comment and I will randomly draw a name.  I will pick the winner on Wednesday, May 3rd.

Over the weekend, Mark took me out to lunch on Saturday and made me my favorite stir fry for dinner.  I wanted to get the house cleaned on Saturday so Mr. Wonderful (aka Mark) helped me the whole time! Then to finish the night out we had Ritter's Frozen Custard.  Oh my goodness, it is so good.

Yesterday, my friend Bobbi and I reorganized and cleaned out the kitchen at our church.  Bobbi went to throw away some garbage in the big dumpster and dropped her phone in it.  Over the last couple of days we have had a lot of rain, so there was about 2 inches of water in there.  The only way we could get it out was for one of us to climb in there.  Well, her phone, she gets to climb in.  Ok, the real reason was I was laughing so hard I couldn't have done it if I tried.

It was quite comical the whole time.  I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time.  I do believe at one time, I had to cross my legs or there was going to be an accident happening.  LOL  Here are some pictures of our fun adventure.

I have been so blessed to have Bobbi as one of my best friends and sister in Christ.  My life is so much better having her in it!

Thank you for stopping in today!  I hope you have a marvelous Monday!

April Paper Pumpkin Video is here!!!

Click on the video above to watch Sara demonstrate her kit she designed.

Sara's kit is "bold, vibrant and artistic with a little bit of sass".  I am so in love with it!  Wait until you see how Sara shows us stepby step on how to do the color resist technique with watercolor pencils.  There is something else new this month, FULL COLOR INSTRUCTIONS!!! Don't forget there is a FREE gift inside too.   You are going to love it!  I know I do.

I will be having a class on April 26th at 6:30pm to put our kits together and make some alternative cards.  This class is FREE if you order your Paper Pumpkin through me.  Anyone is welcome to join us for this fun night of crafting.  There will be a fee of $12.

Not a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin, but would like to.  Click on one of the pictures below for a month, 3 month, 6 month and 12 month subscription.  I know with summer coming up you are going to be busy and your just not sure if you will have to put your kit together. Not a problem, you have the option to skip a month or two when needed.  I have used this option and it is wonderful.

Need a gift for someone and not sure what to give them.  This is a perfect gift!  A party in a box, once a month, delivered to their house. Who wouldn't love that?!

Over the weekend, I have been busy working on changing out retired products with new products.  I have also changed the order in which I have my paper and inks.  Anyone who knows me knows I do everything alphabetical.  Well, I am stepping out of my comfort zone big time.

In the new catalog, Stampin' Up! has a list of all the colors grouped together by color.  This made the change so easy.  Here are a couple of pictures of my paper storage and inks.

I am still trying to get use to them being in this order, but I am really starting to like it.  I ordered some sign clips to put on my racks so I can label each color.  As you can tell, I like to label things.  My label maker and I are very close.  My family told me that if I started labeling the kitchen cabinets I was in trouble.  Who me, I would never do that. LOL

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a terrific Tuesday!

My Easter Card and pictures from OnStage

stampin up, StaminUp !EasterMessage stamp set #142987, Falling In Love DSP #142788, 3/8 Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I made this card for my open house that I had in January and have been waiting to share it with you.  I fell in love with the card in occasions catalog for this stamp set.  I changed it a little to go with the products I had on hand and it show the ribbon that was in our Sale-A-Bration brochure.  If you don't have this ribbon you could use any ribbon you have on hand.

To make this card, you will need the following products:

Blushing Bride Cardstock #131198

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2 7/8" x 4 5/8"

Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 2 3/4" x 4 1/2"

Fallin In Love Designer Series Paper #142788

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

I stamped the image from the Easter message stamp set and then used our Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens.  I used the Early Espresso for the cross and the Basic Gray for the cloth.  This added just a hint of color to make a subtle impact.

I used dimensionals under the small Blushing Bride cardstock to give the card dimension.  I also added a piece of very vanilla cardstock to the inside of the card.

Below are some close up pictures of my projects that I had created for my display at OnStage.  I have to say my favorite is the scrapbook page of our farm.  I brought back a lot of memories.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek of some of the new products.

In the above picture I was given the punch for the lemon/limes.  Did you notice the paper on both the top and bottom pictures on the right hand side.  You are going to love that paper stack.  So many possibilities.  How cute is the tab punch on the gift card holder?  In the bottom collage you will see how I used it to make a background.

stampin up, Stampin' Up! 2017 OnStage, April, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I just realized I put a picture in here twice.  I must really like that project.  LOL  You will notice the paper again, can you see I loved it. The crate I made myself, but there is a die in the new catalog that you will be able to make it much easier.

stampin up, Stampin' Up! 2017 OnStage, April, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

The top right one is the background made with the tab punch.  I have to give my daughter Emily credit for that idea.  You might now notice in the pictures, but glossy white paper is back!!!!!  You know what else is in the new catalog that is returning?  The self adhesive sheets! They are going to be wonderful for all our small delicate dies.  On the bottom right corner picture you can see one of the new ribbons, washi tape and embellishments.  The bottom left picture is made using the new glossy white paper.

I am really excited about the glossy white paper.  It retired shortly after I started selling Stampin' Up!, so I didn't really get a chance to play with it.  I am sure there are a lot of really neat techniques out there for me to learn and share with you.

My first box arrived yesterday of the Eastern Suite and my other boxes arrive today from my preorder.  Oh, my goodness!  I think I have died and gone to heaven.  What should I create with first?

Last night we had the grandrandall's for a sleepover.  They were so good, I couldn't have asked for them to behave any better. They had a lot of fun helping me clean up my craftroom for class tonight. Beckett said to me that he thought I should get rid of some of my stuff because I could never use all of it.  Uh, NO!

You are probably wondering who are the grandrandall's.  Five years ago I met Todd and Kumiko when they came to talk to me about taking care of their first baby.  There was an instant connection between all of us.  You know how you meet someone and right away you know they are going to be a part of your lives for a long time, if not, forever.  Over the years, Todd has come to our church, accepted Christ and got baptized.  I was so honored and humbled when he did his video and talked about what an influence our family has had on him with his walk with Christ.  We have all adopted each other as a part of our family.  My girls call Todd their brother and Kumiko their sister and they do the same.  It warms my heart so much.

Some people at church thought Todd was our son.  I physically could have had Todd, but I would have been 14 years old.  We sometimes, say yes he is.  It is easier that way at times.  In our hearts they are our children and their children are our grandchildren.  We love all of them so much and we are so blessed to have them in our lives.

Have a terrific Thursday and thank you for stopping in today.

I will be showing you all each product individually throughout the next month or so.

I had such a great time at OnStage.  I am not sure why I haven't gone before, but I know I will be going again.  Here are some pictures from my fun filled weekend.

On Friday while sitting up my display I got to meet Connie Stewart, one of my favorite demonstrators.  She is such a sweetheart!  I got to talk with her for about 20 minutes, which was the best part of my day. On Saturday I was able to get a picture with her.  I am not crazy about the look on my face, but I only got one picture with her, so I will take it.

The 3 MUSKETEERS!!!! Carla, Kim and I hung out together all weekend.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  We had been talking with each other on Facebook and text for a while, so it was nice to finally meet in person.  I can say, I have found 2 very good friends over the week.  They are the best!
