One of my friends asked me if I would demonstrate this stamp set, Jar of Love, and matching framelits. Of course I will! I love this set too! I went to Pinterest again for inspiration and ideas and saw a card similar to mine created by Emma Fawkes. Thank you Emma for sharing your talent! I love how it came out, it looks so real. You can almost reach out and touch the flowers as if they were real.
I will tell you to make this card it will take a little, or maybe more than a little, bit of time. It is so worth it though!!!! The color combinations I used are:
Peekaboo Peach/Calypso Coral Soft Sky/Marina Mist Real Red/Cherry Cobbler Blushing Bride/Sweet Sugarplum
I also used: Old Olive, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight
The first thing I did was to do all my stamping on a scrap piece of paper. The only thing you will stamp directing on the white 3 3/4" x 5" piece is the leaves in the back near the top of the page and in the center. Everything else you will stamp and then cut out with your framelits. You will want to stamp the stems to your flowers before you attach the jar to your card.
I assembled the pieces to create this card in the following order if you are interested:
- stamp the center leaves directly on the big white piece of paper
- attach the mason jar
- attach the leaves you cut out with the framelits (one going to the right and the other towards the left)
- attach the orange flowers
- attach the pink flower
- attach the blue flowers
- attach the red flowers
- attach ribbon and bow
I lightly placed the flowers on until I was sure that was where I wanted them and then pressed them down hard. I added the pearls on to put some texture and a little bit of shine to them. They are prettier in person than on the picture. It reminds me of when I grew up on the farm.
I did not pop any of the flowers or mason jar because of all the layers and pearls. I was afraid it would be too thick to mail with only one stamp.
I have been busy working on Christmas Cards for my class tomorrow and Friday. I can't believe it is that time already! I will have those for you in the upcoming days.
Tomorrow I get to preorder products from the new Holiday Catalog (one of the perks of being a demonstrator) and I can't wait! I thought I loved the Annual Catalog, this one is even better! I have a 2 page list of things that I would love to have. Which ones do I order first? Decisions, Decisions, Decisions! They are fun though!
Thank you for stopping in on this beautiful Monday! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Happy Stampin!
