As I look at this picture it looks like I was looking down at it. Not sure what I did there. Hmm. Today for my Fall Friday I have for you a fall card we made in Stamp Camp this week using the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set.
When I look at this card it makes me think of apple cider, bon fires, s'mores, sweatshirts, leaves turning colors and so much more. I absolutely love this time of year!
You will notice on the bottom that we used sponges to make the grass with the Pear Pizzazz ink. You can make it as light or as dark as you want, it just depends on how much ink and pressure you put on the sponge. I kept mine a little bit lighter because I wanted the emphasis on the fallen leaves not the grass.
I did my grass first than I stamped my tree trunk in Chocolate Chip followed by the leaves in Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango. You will want to off set the second time you stamp it so the colors are not right on top of each other. The leaves on the ground were stamped with a little stamp that have the same shape as the leaves just a lot smaller stamp. This stamp is also nice when you have bare spots in your tree to fill it in.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Better Together stamp set with the coordinating sentiment stamped on the inside of the card using the Chocolate Chip ink.
