I belong to a Facebook group for demonstrators and saw this card on it. Teresa Howe, a fellow demonstrator, created this card and was so kind to share with all of us. This is a fun and easy card to make for any of the gentleman in your life.
I used sponges to put the color on the white piece of paper. First, I used Old Olive to make the grass area. You can put this up as high as you would like. Then I added the Crumb Cake and finished it off with Soft Sky. I started out lightly with the colors and then added more to darken it more. You can always add more, but you can't take it off.
One tip I have is to put your paper on top of a scrap piece of paper. Start your sponging on the scrap paper and then go onto the white piece you are going to use for your card. Your colors will blend better and you won't have one spot darker compared to the other areas.
I used the birds from the High Tide stamp set and the other items from the Wetlands stamp set in Early Espresso ink.
To make this card you will need the following products:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock #140272
- cut at 5 /12" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
Early Espresso Cardstock #119686
- cut at 2 3/8" x 5 /12"
Whisper White Cardstock #100730
- cut at 2 1/4" x 5 1/2"
I finally finished my craft room!!!! I can't believe how much natural light I am getting on my stamping table. I love it!
Here are some pictures.
This angle is at the bottom of the stairs turning left.
I was standing at the bottom of the stairs looking towards the sliding glass door.
Here is another angle of my room
This is where I do all my stamping and my desk is in the lower right hand corner.
This is the wall I look at when I am sitting at my desk. I have my monthly calendar, a shadow box to showcase 3D projects and card board to display my cards from one of my classes. The cards up there now are from my What To Do With Scraps class.
I hope you have a fabulous Monday and the rest of your week!
