Yesterday was Beckett's, one of the grand Randall's and also one of my daycare angel, birthday party and he loves alligators/crocodiles. I bought him the Crocodile Dentist game and wanted a card to go along with it. So, where is the first place I go for inspiration? Yep, Pinterest! Who doesn't love Pinterest.
If you would like some ideas and inspiration I have a pinterest page called Stampin Scrapper. Click HERE to check it out.
I found this adorable punch art, which I love doing, created by Alex's Creative Corner. She created a great template for you to know what punches she used to make it. A lot of the punches are retired, but I know a lot of you love Stampin' Up! punches as much as I do, and you may still have them. If you don't have the exact ones, you may have something similar that you could use. Here is her picture of her template.
Isn't this wonderful. It didn't take me long at all to create this card. I used the Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the majority of the design. I sponged it using the Old Olive ink.
It made my day when Beckett saw my card and his eyes lit up. He loved it and so did everyone else. Yay!
What a fun filled two weeks I have had. Emily came home from Texas on Monday, June 12th and the fun started! We went up to Michigan to see my family and go on a wine tour with the ladies in our family. We had so much fun! I was able to get more polish pottery, eat at fabulous restaurants and spend a lot of time with my family. It doesn't get any better than that.
We came home on Father's Day and spent the rest of the day with Mark. He had made us a wonderful dinner when we got home. I think it might be a little backwards. I am pretty sure I was suppose to do that for him. While Emily was here she got to see a lot of her friends from college as one of them got married over the weekend. I was so happy for her that she got to see them. It is hard when you live so far away from everyone. They made wonderful memories that she will have forever.
We also had our second Disney meeting with the Randall's. If you don't know who the Randall's are let me share the short version of the story. 6 years ago Todd and Kumiko came to see me about taking care of their new baby, Beckett. I was thrilled to be able to have him in my daycare. Fast forward to 3 years ago when Todd started talking to me about God, my experience with my walk with Jesus and going to church. Todd started to join us on Sunday mornings and was baptized two years ago. Through all of this they have become our family. We call their children, now 3 of them, our grand Randall's. They are like our grandchildren and their last name is Randall. So if you ever here of me saying the grand Randall's now you know who I am talking about. Here is a picture of them with Erica.
Aren't they so cute! I just love them! We will be going to Disney with them next year and it is going to so fun to see it through their eyes. I still remember the first time we took Emily and Erica and watching their expressions. A memory I will hold forever. We are a little bit of Disney fanatics in our household. This will be our 7 time as a family and Mark and myself have gone there 8 times. It is truly magical!
Emily is going back to Texas today :( It won't be long until we see her again. Actually it will be in 5 days! We are going to head to Texas this weekend to help her move into her new apartment and have some more family time. I can't wait!
Here are some pictures of when we were on our wine tour in Michigan. The scenery was beautiful, wine delicious (so I was told) and the weather was perfect. We had a lot of laughs, reconnected and just truly enjoyed each other.
Thank you for stopping in today and I hope you have a marvelous Monday and week!
