Do you remember when the Eastern Palace Suite came out in May? Everyone, including me, was making cards with this suite. This is one of the cards that I created at the time, but forgot to share it with you. I came across this card the other day and still love it as much as when I made it the first time.
To create this card you will need the following products:
Fresh Fig Cardstock #144242
- cut at 4 1/4" x 11" score at 5 1/2"
Gold Foil Sheets #132622
- cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
Eastern Palace Specialty DSP #144147
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
The first thing I did was stamp the sentiment on so I knew where I was going to put my framelits to cut out the decorative circles. I then used the framelits from the Eastern Medallions to create the circles. I placed them so I left a little space in between them so I could stamp the little fan shape.
I used the 1/2" circle punch to punch out the circles of the flowers from the Gold Foil Sheets. You can punch them out of your 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of gold paper. Make sure you push the paper all the way in to your punch. You don't want to go right on the edge as you want to still be able to have the edge for the front of the card. How do I know this? From experience. LOL
I used glue dots to put on the flower centers so it gave them a little lift. I didn't want to use the dimensionals as it would have been too high for this particular card.
It is hard to tell in the picture, but there is a piece of designer series paper(DSP) from the Eastern Palace pack. It gives it a subtle hint of color. This card is such a classy looking card. I love it! You could change up the sentiment and use it for any occasion. I like cards like that!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous day!
