Heartfelt Blooms
03/10/2018
Did I tell you Stampin' Up! has created a new type of stamp? The new Distinkive (patent pending) stamps lay down ink at different opacities giving the finished image more depth. Yes, I took the description for the Sale-A-Bration flyer. You all know I don't talk like that. LOL It was the easiest way to explain how they work. Another unique feature of this type of stamp is that it is totally flat. At first look, you will think something is wrong with it.
There is a little tip to using this stamp, you don't want too much ink on it. If you do, the image will not come out crisp and clear. If there isn't enough ink, the image will come out really light.
The name of the stamp set I used is Heartfelt Blooms in the Sale-A-Bration flyer. You can get this stamp set for FREE when you spend $50 in products, before shipping and tax. Sale-A-Bration will be ending on March 31st. If there is a product that you really want, I highly suggest you get it soon. You won't want to miss out on this awesome stamp set!
I want to thank Annie Dohrman for this wonderful design. I received this swap card from Annie at the Leadership Conference in February. I fell in love with it and knew I wanted to make it too.
To make this project you will need the following products:
Cardstock:
Night of Navy
- cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
- cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Whisper White
- cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
- cut at 3" x 4"
One of the 4" x 5 1/4" pieces of white cardstock emboss with the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder. I wrapped the Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon the two top layers and tied a knot. I also popped up the layers with the ribbon on it. When I wrap ribbon around any cardstock I always use dimensionals to pop up that layer. Your paper will lay flat and not have a bump in it from the ribbon.
I apologize for this blog post coming out late this morning. Once again life took more of my time than I thought it would. Last night Emily came home from Texas for a week and we didn't get home until after 1:00am. I am not moving very fast this morning, hence the delay in this post. Do you ever have days where your plans are not at all the plans God had for you that day? His plans are always better than mine. Just, sometimes I wish He would let me know them before hand.
Thank you for stopping in today! I hope you have a great weekend.
