In February I had a technique class, which was a lot of fun. One of the projects we made used the new Brusho Crystal Colours. We used them to create the background for the above card. What do you think? I really like how it came out. Another thing I like about the Brusho, is you will never get the same card twice. It doesn't matter how many times you use the Brusho, you are going to get a different look each time.
On this card we used the Moss Green, Prussian Blue and Yellow colors. There are so many different ways to create projects with this product, this is just one of them.
To begin with, make sure your surface is covered very well and that you have extra paper towels around. This can get messy fast. You can wear gloves while you do this if you don't like to get your hands dirty. The ink will come off your hands when you do dishes or wash your hair. Who knows why that is, but it works. Yay!
For this card I first sprinkled, a little bit of all three of the colors randomly around the Shimmery White Paper. I then took my Spritzer and lightly sprayed my paper. The more you spray, the more the colors will run together. You can see in the pictures how the colors are all blended together in certain areas and how are just splattered in other areas. If you want you can move the water around on your paper and you will get a little bit of a different look. I really like how this background turned out.
I will say when I was making it and it was just sitting there drying by itself, I was not to keen on it. But once I put the white flower on it, it turned out perfect!
You are going to want to let this really dry before you start touching it. Even then you have to be careful you don't get it all over your hands. To finish off the card I used the Flourish Thinlits to cut out my embellishment. One thing that I did to help me attach it to the paper is I used the Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets. They are awesome!!! I use them any time I have a delicate cutout that I need to attach to another piece of paper.
I wrapped the Lemon Lime Twist 3/8" Mini Striped Ribbon around the Shimmery White paper and tied a knot to finish off the card. I didn't put a sentiment on the front because I wanted the focal point to be the beautiful background.

Tomorrow morning I am off to Chicago to go to my first stamping retreat and I am so excited! My good friend, Beth, from Iowa is going with me. It will be so nice to spend the weekend with her. We are both interested in seeing how to run a retreat as this is something we both would like to do someday. Do you have any fun plans for this weekend?
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!
