I was looking through a bin that I have under my craft table with things to use for 3D projects and came across these small cups.  I totally forgot I had them, so I grab them and started creating a project for my Fall Friday series.

I wanted to do a fall theme, not a Halloween and wanted to use something I haven't used in a while.  I have been concentrating on mostly products from the holiday catalog, but it is fun to use things in our annual catalog too.  So, for this project I used the Nature's Poem designer series paper along with the Leaves Trinkets.  The sentiment is from the Takeout Treats stamp set in the holiday catalog.  I guess I used a little bit out of each catalog.

You can fill the little cup with what ever little treats you want to. You can also put a gift card behind the band that wraps around the top.  This would be a cute secret Santa gift, or a thank you gift for someone.  Do you know someone that loves coffee?  How cute would this be with a coffee gift card?  Hmm, that gives me an idea!

Next week will be my last Fall Friday and then on November 5th  I will be starting my Merry Christmas Monday series.  I hope you have enjoyed my series so far.

I am so excited for tomorrow.  Mark and I had our 30 year wedding anniversary on Monday and we are going to celebrate it.  We are headed to Columbus for the day and then to a Blue Jackets hockey game.  We both enjoy watching hockey, so we are really looking forward to it.  We were going to go out to dinner on Monday to celebrate too, but he had to work all night, or should I say early morning and I ended up getting a stomach virus.  What a great way to spend our anniversary.  LOL  We weren't even in the same bedroom.  I didn't want him to get sick, so I slept on the couch.  I know the romance was just blooming that night.  LOL

Thank you for taking the time to stop in today.  I hope you are have a great weekend!

Happy Stampin!

Every time I go to Target I always check out the candy section to see if there is anything new that I could use for one of my projects.  When I went the other day I found these Caramel Apple Pops in different flavors.  I have always loved the green apple and caramel flavored ones that have been around for years.  These are different as they come in golden delicious, green apple and red macintosh.  I have to say they are delicious!

I was thinking about what I could make for the daycare kids and for the grand Randall's to take to school for their Halloween parties.  I made a cover like this one last year and thought it would be perfect for this year too.  If you missed the post from last year you can click on Fall Friday 2017 Week #4 to see it.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper

  • cut at 2 1/2" 6 1/4" score at 3" and 3 1/4"

The hat was cut out from the Toil and Trouble desinger series paper using the Cauldron framelits.  The pumpkin is from the Seasonal Chums stamp set and colored using our new blends in Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie.  I also used the blends to color the pearls on the sentiment.  I love finding new ways to use our products.

Fall Friday Week #4

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Toil and Trouble designer series paper #147531, Layering Circle Framelits #141705, hand sanitizer holder, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Welcome to my Fall Friday series!!!  This week I have an adorable holder for hand sanitizers.  I got the measurements and basic design from Dawn Griffith another fabulous demonstrator.  When I was in Bath and Body Works looking for some fall candles, I saw a basket full of fall scented hand sanitizers.  Of course, my first thought was I can make a holder for this.  Then I thought I can make this for one of my Fall Friday projects.  So here it is!

This is a fairly easy project to make, which is nice because  I plan on making more of these to give out as little gifts.  I am thinking about making these at Christmas time too.  How cute would they be with the snowman from Spirited Snowmen stamp set on them.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Granny Apple Green

  • cut at 2" x 11" score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 6 1/2", 7 1/2" and 8 1/2"

Pumpkin Pie

  • cut at 2 1/2" x 2 1/2''

Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper

  • a piece to punch out a 2" circle
  • a piece to cut out three hats

To make the holder you need to first use the Layering Oval Framelits and cut out an opening for the top of the hand sanitizer to fit through.  You will cut the oval out of the section between the 1/2" and 1 1/2" score lines.  Once you have finished that, put Tear and Tape on the 1/2" section and burnish all score lines EXCEPT THE 6 1/2" LINE. The 6 1/2" score line is for you to line you where you are going attach the 1/2" section that has the Tear and Tape on.  See picture below of how it will look when it is folded and the 1/2" section is attached.

There is a stamp set, Cauldron Bubble, and coordinating framelits that also coordinate with the Toil and Trouble designer series paper.  The framelits have pieces that cut out some of the shapes that are on some of the papers of the designer series paper pack. There is a framelit for the hats, so you don't have to sit and fussy cut them unless you want to.   I used the black  3/8" Glittered Organdy ribbon,  behind the circles.

To keep the top flap closed I used little velcro circles.  You can get those at craft stores, Wal-Mart or

I popped the Pumpkin Pie up with Stampin Dimensionals, everything else was adhered with snail adhesive.  I used two glue dots on the bottom of the hand sanitizer to held it in place so it wouldn't fall out.

How easy and cute was that project?

Yesterday I needed to make my technique card that I was teaching at a workshop I had last night.  I thought the daycare kids would like to do it with me and boy, was I right.  I was demonstrating the baby wipe technique with fall colors.  The little ones thought it was the coolest thing when the ink drops hit the baby wipes and spread out.  I then let them stamp their own leaf, they did so good, and also use the Big Shot to cut their leaves out.  Here are some pictures of them using the big shot and stamping.  Then all of them with their final card.

At Christina's workshop last night we had so much fun!  I got to meet new people, which I love, and have lots of laughs while stamping.  One of my new ladies, Michelle, hadn't stamped before.  I thought she did real well.  Here is a picture of Michelle with her first card she has ever made.

What a great day yesterday!  Kids learning how to stamp and use the big shot, Michelle learning how to make cards, seeing old friends and making new ones and best of all laughing and enjoying the people I was with and love.  It can't get much better than that!

Thank you for stopping in today!  I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend!

Did you notice my new signature?  I am still working on my blog to make some changes I have been wanting to do, but haven't had the time.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Falling For Leaves stamp set #147680, Detailed Leaves Thinlits #147921, Tin Tile Embossing Folder #147906, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I saw this card online and my eyes went directly to the leaf.  I loved the different colors on it, but I thought how in the world did they do that?  I started playing around with it and finally figured out a fast and fun way to get the same look of the original card. The stamp set, Falling For Leaves, has a coordinating thinlit, Detailed Leaves and is available as bundle.  When you purchase a bundle you save 10%!

The first thing I did was ink up the whole leaf stamp with Melon Melody ink.  Using daubers I added Blackberry Bliss ink randomly and then Poppy Parade ink.  Once you have all the ink on your stamp, make sure you huff on your stamp before stamping it on your paper.

What an expensive week we have had at our home!  We had to replace the refrigerator that we had in the basement.  It was 19 years old and starting to show it's age. We didn't want to wait until it died and we lost all of our food in it, so we replaced it now.  Erica needed new tires on her car, got a new computer and are having our air conditioner and furnace replaced today.  Ouch, Ouch, Ouch!!! When it rains, it pours.  I really hope that is all for a long time.

I am really excited about this weekend though.  I am going to spend the weekend with my friend and fellow demonstrator, Mary.  We are going to have so much fun stamping and spending time together.  I can't wait!  Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

This week I went to Target to see if I could find some fun candy to put in the new Baker's Boxes from the holiday catalog.  Do you remember last year when I did two cute packages with fun apple shaped candy?  If you missed it, click on Fall Friday 2017 Week #5     I didn't find that candy but I did find the delicious Werther's Pumpkin Spice soft caramels.  They are so good!  I am glad I needed them for this project or I might have eaten the whole bag!

I used one of the Baker's Boxes on page 49 in the holiday catalog.  These boxes are the perfect size to put candy or a baked goodie in them (they are food safe).  I wanted a designer series paper that had a fall color and found this one in the Festive Farmhouse designer series paper.  Yes, I found it in a Christmas pack!  It is amazing to me at times how versatile Stampin' Up! products are.  I am so happy they are!

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow

  • cut at 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper

  • cut at 4 at 2" x 4 1/8"

When you put the strips that go around the box you are going to need to do a little bit of trimming.  You can see in the pictures below where you need to trim your paper.

I used the 3/4" circle punch to cut the designer series paper on the front of the box that is overlapping the cut out already on the box.

I used the beautiful Detailed Leaves thinlits to cut out the leaves.  Did you notice on the green leaf there is embossing on it?  I used our Embossing Mats to make it.  You can take any framelit and make it an embossing framelit.  I used Linen Thread and made triple bows on each set of leaves.  On the leaves on the front I added one of the copper Leave Trinkets that are in the annual catalog.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Takeout Treats stamp set #147858, Toil & Trouble DSP #147531, Layering Oval Framelits #141706. 5/8" Burlap Ribbon #141487, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman
Welcome to my Fall Friday's!  Every Friday from today until October 26th, I will have a new fall project to share with you.  I will be making 3D projects, cards and a scrapbook page.  I am so excited to share these projects with you.

Last weekend I was out looking for some new fall decorations for my house and came across these Belgian chocolate drenched Oreo cookies.  They are wrapped in cute foil papers.  I wanted to make a box for them with the new designer series paper from the holiday catalog.

Aren't they so cute? It is really easy to make this box and it only takes one sheet of cardstock.  Here are the directions:

  • cut paper at 8 1/2" x 9"
  • on 8 1/2" side score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8"
  • on 9" side score at 2 1/8", 4 1/4", 6 3/8" and 8 1/2"
  • see diagram below on how to cut your paper

Here is another picture of what it will look like once you have cut the score lines and cut off the dark squares and how to put the box together.

StampinUpOreoBoxStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman

I used the Toil and Trouble designer series paper to decorate the outside of the box.

  • cut 2 pieces at 2" x 2"
  • cut 2 pieces at 2" x 4"

To make the tag I used the Takeout Treats stamp set and stamped it with Cajun Craze ink.  I cut out both layers (Early Espresso and Whisper White) with the Layering Oval Framelits.  I used one of the pieces I cut off from when I made the box for the Early Espresso piece and tied it on with a piece of Linen Thread.   I love to save paper when ever I can.  The bow was made using the 5/8" burlap ribbon.
