Pictures from OnStage 2017

I can finally share my display board with you!!!  I had so much creating with the  products from the new 2017-2018 catalog.  It has been hard keeping it quiet, but now I don't have to!!!!  You are going to love the new catalog.  I want everything in it!

I will be showing you all each product individually throughout the next month or so.  

I had such a great time at OnStage.  I am not sure why I haven't gone before, but I know I will be going again.  Here are some pictures from my fun filled weekend.

These are the lovely ladies that I got to sit with at the event.  From left to right, Laura, me (yes, I was the shortest again LOL), Kim, Beth, Lynn and Pam.

This picture is with two of the wonderful people from the business retreat I went to last October.  It was so wonderful to see Tina and Beth.  

On Friday while sitting up my display I got to meet Connie Stewart, one of my favorite demonstrators.  She is such a sweetheart!  I got to talk with her for about 20 minutes, which was the best part of my day. On Saturday I was able to get a picture with her.  I am not crazy about the look on my face, but I only got one picture with her, so I will take it.

The 3 MUSKETEERS!!!! Carla, Kim and I hung out together all weekend.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  We had been talking with each other on Facebook and text for a while, so it was nice to finally meet in person.  I can say, I have found 2 very good friends over the week.  They are the best!
 

The above picture has the four stamp sets I received, a planner, post it notes, pens and an ink pad in crumb cake and old olive.  I also received a bag, but I forgot to put it in the picture.  

These are the gifts that I received from Lynn, Beth, Kim and Lyssa.  It was so sweet of them!

Merry Christmas Monday Week #7

• 

My final Merry Christmas Monday project.  I had a lot of fun designing projects to share with you for this beautiful holiday season.  This week I made a Gift Card Holder using the Father Christmas Stamp Set.  This holder looks like it was difficult to make, but in reality it is easy.  It is such a beautiful gift card holder, I love it!

To make this project you will need the following products:

Crumb Cake Card Stock # 120953

• cut at 4 1/4" x 11" score at 2 1/2" and 5 1/2"
• cut at 3 1/2" x 9" score at 4 1/2"
• scrap for 1 1/2" circle

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

• cut 2 at 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
• cut at 2 1/2" x 4"
• scrap for 1 4/" circle 

Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper # 141981

• cut at 2 1/2" x 4"
• cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" 

Here is a picture of what it looks like partially opened.  For this picture I pulled down the bottom part of the holder.  Here is a picture of it opened all the way.

Here are the steps to make this holder:

1. Stamp all you images on your Whisper White Card Stock using Crumb Cake (for a softer look) or Soft Suede (for a more bold look).  
2. Use Crumb Cake ink and sponge around all the edges (make sure you do all edges that fold)
3. Adhere your stamped pieces to the appropriate Crumb Cake card stock
4.  Using the 2" circle punch, punch out half of circle on the biggest piece of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper
5. Adhere the Designer Series Paper
6. Fold your holder so that Santa is on the top of the bottom fold.  Put a dimensional so that it is just below the flap with Santa on it.  You want to be able to still open up this flap.  
7. Then adhere the circles so that the bottom are even with the bottom of the card holder

The Santa will fit right under the circles.  Isn't it the best gift card holder?!  Whoever you give it to, they will love it!

This weekend I have been busy baking.  I make goodies bags for all of the daycare families and for Mr. Wonderful's work.  I made 13 different goodies.  My house still smells so good!

Wondrous Wreath Gift Card Holder

Do you ever have those times when you need a fast gift card holder to make it extra special.  I have the right one for you!  This is a 5 minute project that you can decorate for any occasion.  This is one of those projects that I know I will use again and again.

This design reminds me of a matchbook with a little twist.

To make this card you will need the following materieals:

Cherry Cobbler Card Stock #119685

• cut at 4 1/4" x 11" score at 2", 7 1/4" and 7 3/8"

Very Vanilla Card Stock #101650

• cut at 3 3/4" x 6 1/2" score at 1 3/4" and 6"

This Christmas Designer Series Paper #141628

• cut at 1" x 6"

The first thing you will need to do is get out your Envelope Punch Board.  On the Cherry Cobbler paper on the longest end you are going to line it up with the 1" mark and punch.  Flip over the paper and line up with the 1" mark and punch.  Now your sides will be even. Next, fold up the bottom (where you scored at 2") and burnish it with your bone folder.  You are going to take your piece of This Christmas Designer Series Paper and adhere it around the bottom of the holder. You don't want to put any tape on the inside of this flap or your card will not fit.  Fold over the top part and crease your score marks with your bone folder.

On the Very Vanilla Card Stock you will want fold the bigger section up and stamp your sentiment on it.  I also stamped on the middle section with leaves.   Fold the top 1/2" section backwards and put Tear and Tape on this section.  Put the Very Vanilla piece into the bottom  flap on the Cherry Cobbler paper and push it in all the way.   Remove the white part of the Tear and Tape, making sure your paper is laying flat and fold over the top of the Cherry Cobbler.  Press down making sure your Very Vanilla paper is adhered to the Cherry Cobbler paper.  

Now you are ready to decorate it however you would like it.  I added a wreath, bow and twine and then it is finished!

Snowman Gift Card Holder

Who wouldn't love to get a gift card in this adorable snowman gift card holder?  If it has anything to do with a snowman, I love it!  I bought a new candle holder the other day and Mr. Wonderful (aka my husband, Mark) said, "of course you did, it has a snowman on it".  He knows me so well.  

This was one of the five projects we made at my Christmas Gift Card Holder class last week.  We had such a good time.  I was able to sit down and stamp with my friends, which I absolutely loved.  It has been such a long time since I did that.  

To make this project you will need the following:

Marina Mist Card Stock #119682

• cut at 3 1/2" x 7 3/4" score at 1 1/4" and 4 3/4" on the 7 3/4" side and score 1/2" on each side of the 3 1/2" side
• 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"  punch with the 2" circle

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

• cut enough to cut/punch a 3 1/4" circle, 2 1/2",  2 - 3/4 circle and 1/2" circle

Basic Black Card Stock # 121045

• scraps for 2 - 3/8" circles and 2 - small ovals

Night of Navy Card Stock # 100867

• cut at 3/8" x 2"

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock #105117

• 3/8" x 1" cut it at a diagonal

To assemble your snowman:

• use Soft Sky Ink and sponge around all the white pieces except the 1/2" circle on the top of his hat.  
• adhere the 2 1/2" circle to the 3 1/4" circle overlapping just a little bit. The total height of the white pieces is 5"
• emboss the 2" Marina Mist circle using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder
• cut the hat at 1 1/2" high
• adhere the Night of Navy strip
• attach hat to the top of the snowman
• adhere eyes and use the White Chalk Marker to put the white marks on the eyes.
• I used a little Blushing Bride Ink and a Dauber to add color for his cheeks
• adhere the nose and feet
• wrap your ribbon around the smallest section of where the two white circle meet
• attach the holder, make sure you use song adhesive (I used Fast Fuse)
• attach the two 3/4" circles with a glue dot on the edge of the circle
• I used tiny velcro circles for the closure of the gift card holder
• attach a little bow

You now have this adorable Snowman Gift Card Holder.  Isn't he stinkin cute?!

Yesterday I had my daycare Christmas party and had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of my little angels

 

Even my Mr. Wonderful got into decorating the cookies!  We had a wonderful time talking and hanging out with everyone.  I forgot to take a picture with all of them :(  Next time for sure!

Graduation Card and Gift Card Holder

                     

 

It is graduation time and that means a lot of cards and gift card holders.  I made this card and holder for Emily's roommate, Nichole. Nichole is also very special to our family as she has been our neighbor for the last 17 years.  

To make this card I made three triangles of different sizes for the front.  Here are the dimensions for the triangles:

• the largest one (Tangelo Twist) is 3 7/16" across the bottom and 4 7/16" high.  
• the middle one (Early Espresso)  is 2 3/16" across the bottom and 2 13/16"high
• the smallest one  (Tangelo Twist) is 1 13/16" across the bottom and 2 5/16" high 

If you have the Bigz L Perfect Pennants die (this is retired) you can use it and you will get the same sizes. 

To make the little cap I cut the Tangelo Twist into a 1 3/8" square and the Early Espresso is 1 1/4" square.  I used the paper piercing tool #126189 and the Stampin' Pierce Mat #126199.  I then put one of the Candy Dots Brad Bases #132293 and added a rhinestone to the top of it.  I also used rhinestones on the smallest triangle.   I made a male version of the card and used the mini brads #122491.  The picture below shoes both versions of the card.  

                        

I didn't have any bakers twine that color so I used embroidery thread instead.  You can use any saying you wish for the front.  I had the stamp set from Sale A Bration called Perfect Pairings and Congrats fit perfectly.

Black and White Thank You

                    

 

I wanted to give Emily's mentor teacher, Julie, a thank you card and for everything she has done for Emily.  Julie is a wonderful teacher, mentor and above all a terrific friend to Emily.    Julie's favorite drink is coffee, a women after my own heart, of course that had to be the theme of her gift.  She also loves the colors black, white and lime green.  I didn't have any lime green so I used cucumber crush card stock instead.  

There is nothing like seeing someone's expression when they see your creations for the first time.  I love making people happy with the items I make!

I used a retired stamp set, Perfect Blend, to make this card and tag, but you could use A Nice Cuppa stamp set if you would like.  I have to say I love the Perfect Blend stamp set and it will be in my collection for a long time.  

To make the card I used the following materials:

Basic Black Card Stock #121045

• cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
• scrap pieces to stamp the coffee cups with white craft ink and the scallop circle

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

• cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
• scrap piece to stamp the top part of the stamp (the lid) and the circle 

Scrap pieces of any Designer Series Paper to add to the coffee cup.  

To make the different pieces of the coffee cup you are going to stamp the whole image with white craft ink on basic black card stock.  Then with black ink you will stamp the lid part on white paper and fussy cut it out.  For the designer series paper section you will use black ink and stamp on your the dsp paper and fussy cut.  I then used the pieces you just cut and adhered them to the black base.  

To make the splatter marks on the card I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set.  Who doesn't love this stamp set?!  You can do so many neat things with it.  The saying in the corner is also from the Perfect Blend Stamp Set.  

I know I used some retired products to make this card and tag, but I wanted to give you some inspiration and ideas for you to make your own designs.  If you have a stamp set that you absolutely love, keep it, use it and enjoy it!!  For me this is one of those sets.

The scalloped circle punch that I used is on the retirement list, so if you would like it, get it soon as it will no longer be available after May 31, 2016 or while supplies last.

Baby Shower Card and Gift Card Holder

Yesterday I had the honor of attending a baby/adoption shower for my friend Amanda.  Nathan, Amanda and their 3 children are adopting a beautiful girl, Joanna, from China.  We are all so excited for them and wanted to show them how much they are loved.  

I had so much fun making the card, gift card holder and tag for the bag.  I got my idea for the card from another demonstrator Debbie Henderson and the matchbox gift card holder from Mary Fish.  I love how Stampin' Up! demonstrator share their ideas.  You can learn so much from others.  

To make all three items I used the stamp set Something For Baby #134030, Teeny Tiny Wishes #127802 and Hardwood #133035.  The colors I used were Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, Pink Pirouette and So Saffron.  I also used the Baby's First Framelits #133735.  

 

I got finished the card and gift card holder and realized I forgot to buy a bag to put them in, of course it was right before the shower.  I went looking in my stash of gift bags and found this cute little bag that was the same color as the card.  How lucky was that!!!!  The scallops on the bottom of the tag were made with a retired border punch.  

This is the front of the gift card holder.  I will definitely be making more of these, as you can decorate it for any occasion.  

 The card fits perfectly inside.  I couldn't have found a better design on the gift card as their  little one is a year old.
