Merry Christmas Monday 2021 Week #8

Can you believe this is my last Merry Christmas Monday project? This week I have a money (cash, check, money order, etc) holder. If you need one, this one is very easy to make. 

I made two different styles. One of them has a belly band and the other one I put Velcro on it to help keep it closed. The pictures to show you how to make this project will be of the above money holder, without the belly band.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Real Red or Evening Evergreen

• cut at 7" x 8 1/4" 
• score on the 8 1/4" side at 2 1/4" and 5 1/4"

Belly Band (I used Real Red)

• cut at 1 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Evening Evergreen (for the sentiment)

• cut at 2" 3 1/4"

Basic White

• cut at 1 3/8" x 2 5/8"

Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper

• cut at 2 3/4" x 6 3/4"
• cut 2 at 2" x 6 3/4"

 

Burnish on score lines and add one of the 2" x 6 3/4" pieces of Painted Christmas designer series paper to the top section. This paper is retiring on January 3rd and has low inventory. If you want it, I would order it right away. Once it is gone, it is gone for good. I rounded the corners of the top section of the cardstock and the designer series paper with the Detailed Trio punch. Add Tear and Tape on the bottom section, making sure it is on the edge so that there is enough room for the money.

Add the 2 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece of designer series paper to the bottom section after you have folded it up. Do not adhere this section yet. I used my 1 3/4" circle punch, you can use the Layering Circle dies, to punch a small section of the circle in the middle. This will help make it easier to open the pocket. Now, you can adhere this section together. 

The arrows are where I put the Velcro circles. If you are doing the belly band, wrap it around the holder and adhere the ends together with Tear and Tape. 

Cut out the rectangle for the sentiment with the Scalloped Contours dies in Evening Evergreen cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas To Remember stamp set with Real Red ink. I am so excited that this stamp set and coordinating Christmas Pinecone dies are going to be carried over. That means that you will still be able to order both of these until the Stampin' Up! 2022-2023 annual catalog comes out.

I got an early Christmas present this year, Emily came home for 4 days! It is so wonderful having everyone here together. It will definitely be different this year on Christmas day, when she is back in Texas. I am enjoying every minute I have with her, Erica and Mr. Wonderful.

New At SU - Christmas Ornament

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you! This month we are sharing projects that are anything but cards. I love this one!

I am so excited about this month's blog hop! I love to make cards, but I love to do 3D projects, scrapbooking and home decor more! When I heard that we were doing anything but a card and it was Christmas time, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas ornament. The question was, which one?

Look how beautiful the Blackberry Beauty designer series paper from the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog is! I will have to say, this is the first time I have used this paper. Why, in the world, did I wait until now! Of course, it is retiring and already sold out.  I apologize for sharing a product that is no longer available. I had made this ornament a while ago when it was still current and didn't have time to remake it. 

You can make this ornament from any designer series paper you have on hand. You could get so many different looks, just by changing the paper. 

Here is a side view of the ornament, so you can see the design easier. I made a rosette for on top of the ornament and then added a Gilded Gem.

I did not design this ornament, I got the directions from Jo Blackman, a fellow demonstrator. Thank you Jo for sharing your beautiful project with everyone.

Merry Christmas Monday 2021 Week #6

Ho Ho Ho! it's Merry Christmas Monday! Today I have a fun Santa treat holder to share with all of you. When I saw these adorable Santa hat chocolate kisses at the store, I knew I wanted to make a Santa suit treat holder for them. These would be great for stocking stuffers, coworkers, Secret Santa or to give to someone in the service industry. 

I used the Ho Ho Ho sentiment from the Little Delights stamp set. This stamp set is retiring soon, so if you would like it, you need to order as soon as possible. All of our retiring products are while supplies last. 

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock

Real Red

• cut at 5 1/2" x 10 1/2"
• score on 5 1/2" side at 1/2", 1 1/2", 4" and 5"
• score on the 10 1/2" side at 1 1/2", 2 1/2, 6" and 7"

Basic Black

• cut at 3/4" x 2 1/2"
• cut at 3/4" x 3/4"

Basic White

• cut at 3/4" x 6 1/4" score at 1 1/2" and 2 1/2"

Silver Foil

• cut at 
• scrap piece

Window Sheet

• cut at 2 3/8" x 3 3/8"

 

Cut away the sections that you don't need as in the picture above. Add Tear and Tape to the same places as I did above. You don't have to put on the middle piece of Tear and Tape. I put it on there as I wanted to make sure it would stay together as the chocolates are heavier than other chocolates I usually use. 

Round the corners with the Detailed Trio punch and then cut out a section in the large end flap with a die from the Rectangle Stitched dies. Both of these products are available in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog. 

I added Tear and Tape about an inch long on the back side of the paper to stick the ribbon to. It was easier to add it now than when I had the box all put together. This is also when I added the Window Sheet, with Mini Glue Dots, to cover up the area I cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. 

I used the Black and White Gingham ribbon from the holiday catalog. I am happy to say that this ribbon is being carried over. What that means, is you can still order it even though it is not in the catalog. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink and then cut it out with the Tailored Made Tags dies. I added velcro circles on the flap to hold it down.

Merry Christmas Monday 2021 Week #5

 

Merry Christmas Monday! I have an easy project for you featuring chocolates that I purchased at a wonderful coffee shop in our town called Winan's Chocolates and Coffees.

When Emily and Jeff were here for Thanksgiving, we went there to get coffee, of course, and I saw these adorable chocolates. Immediately, I thought I have to make a box to put them in! I went home and created a box using the mini pizza boxes. Then I realized that they were retired. GRRR. So, I quickly created this box last night using the Gingerbread and Peppermint designer series paper. 

One thing I learned making the box, is that using the Gingerbread dies to cut out the ornaments from a piece of the designer series paper, makes this project so fast and easy.

I added the silver trim from the Simply Elegant Trim from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog to complete the look of ornaments. I didn't add a sentiment to this project this time. I really like the simplicity of just the ornaments.

Merry Christmas Monday 2021 Week #3

I have a beautiful sampler to share with you today. I can't take credit for this wonderful project.  My friend, Susi Brunk, created  this sampler and I fell in love with it. Susi was so kind to let me copy her project and make one for myself.  I asked her if it was alright for me to share it with all of you and she said "yes!" 

I put it in a white picture frame that I had. I have it sitting in my craft room on a shelf. Every time I look at it I think of Susi. The picture of it in the frame is not the best as I had to take pictures multiple times to get a decent picture of it. Between the glass on frame and the shiny foil paper, it was hard to get a good picture. I was trying it to look as good in the pictures as it does in person. 

Susi used the fabulous Whimsy & Wonder suite in the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog. I love the designer series paper in this suite. For some of the squares she used the Christmas Tree dies, others she used the designer series paper to shine. Then on two of them she used the Wintry embossing folders. For embellishments Susie used the Polished Pink Open Weave ribbon and Blue Adhesive Backed Gems.

Merry Christmas Monday 2021 Week #2

It's Merry Christmas Monday! Today I have a Christmas card that I made using the Merry Snowflakes stamp set along with the Wintry embossing folder from the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog. On Saturday, we had our team meeting and I demonstrated different ways to use the Stampin' Blending Brushes. I love our blending brushes, they are so much fun to use. They are so soft and easy to handle. 

To create the look on my card, I used the blending brush to add ink to the Wintry embossing folder. We want to put the ink on the side that has the Stampin' Up! logo. I then ran it through the Stampin' Up! Cut & Emboss machine. You get this beautiful embossed and inked piece of paper that is so beautiful. Since there snowflakes on this, I wanted to make them sparkle so, I added Wink of Stella to the whole image. 

This is a close up picture so you can see the embossed image better and kinda see the sparkle. It was hard trying to get the camera to capture the sparkle this time. I stamped the image with the Night of Navy ink and then cut it out using the Tasteful Labels dies.

For the bow on the card, I used the Glittered Organdy ribbon and a Night of Navy ribbon that I thought was still in the annual catalog, but realized when I went to look up the name of the ribbon, that it was discontinued. I am going to have to go through and double check all of my ribbon and make sure that I have only current ones in my holder. 

I used one of the snowflakes from the Merry Snowflakes stamp set and stamped them on the inside of the card and on the envelope with Balmy Blue and Night of Navy ink.

Fall Friday 2021 Week #8 - Non Stampin' Up! Projects

This week I am doing something totally different for my Fall Friday series. I have had so much fun creating projects for all of you using Stampin' Up! products. This week though, I am going to share with you projects I have made for fall that I have made with other products. 

Myself, along with my friends, Diana and Kim, have been busy creating projects for the fall season. The first project we made were Mr. and Mrs. Scarecrow. 

I love how these two turned out. They are so stinkin' cute! 

Here is a picture of all of our scarecrows before we added the skirts to the girls. I love how they are so different even though we made them all at the same time. 

This is the other project that we made. All of us have seen signs like this at different times and said how we wanted to make one. We finally did! There were a lot of laughs and jokes making this adorable sign. 

We are now working on a snowman project. Yay! I love snowman. I will share with you when I have it finished. It might take me a little while though, as I can't find what I want to finish it.

Fall Friday 2021 Week #6 - Pretty Pillow Box

It's Fall Friday! This weeks project I made with the adorable Pretty Pillow Box dies from the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog.  I also used the Cute Halloween designer series paper for the base of the pillow box and the embellishments.

Here is a picture of the back of the boxes so you can see the difference between them better. I made two of them because I wanted to show you how you can change the look of a project just by using Stampin' Blends. 

I colored the paper before I cut out the Pretty Pillow Box with the Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather Blends. 

I cut out an additional layer for the flap from Granny Smith Paper to make the flap pop. I used the Halloween punch to punch out the cat, ghost (on left hand side) and pumpkin from another piece of the designer series paper. The other ghost I fussy cut out.

I put a peanut butter pumpkin inside mine, but you can put other things such as a gift card, small gift, jewelry, etc. in it. I added a triple bow made with the beautiful Gorgeous Grape Sheer ribbon. 

Are you as excited for the weekend as I am? Mr. Wonderful and I are going away for a few days for our 33rd wedding anniversary. I can't wait to get away from everything and enjoy some time together with none of the everyday demands.

Fall Friday 2021 Week #4 - Cutest Halloween Treat Holder

Happy October! It's time for Fall Friday! I saw this box on Pinterest, created by Angie Juda, and loved it! You could use this box for treats, a small gift, gift card holder or what ever you want to use it for. Thank you Angie for sharing your project. I love it!

When I sat down to start working on making this box, I remembered I had a bag of Reese's Halloween miniatures I wanted to use. I opened them up and you are not going to believe what I saw. They had black ones with skulls on them, purple ones with ghost and orange ones with cross bones on them. I knew immediately that I had to use the Cute Halloween designer series paper. As you can tell in the picture above, the purple paper has ghost and the black has skulls, just like the candy. How cool is that?!

I couldn't decide which paper to use, so I made two of them. I love how they turned out. I know I will be making more of these, especially since you could use these for any occasion. 

I stamped the sentiment with Memento ink from the Cutest Halloween stamp set. I then cut it out with the Layering Circle dies and put it on the front of the box with dimensionals. I added a bow made with the Black & White Gingham ribbon and finished it with the Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Last Day For 2021 Sale-A-Bration!
