Beautiful Friendship with 2018-2020 In Colors

I can't believe it is time to be thinking about the retirement of the Stampin' Up! 2018-2020 In Colors.  I wanted to make a card that had all of the In Colors and was easy and fast to make.  I needed to make my thank you cards that I was going to send to everyone who ordered from me during Sale-A-Bration.  I was able to make a lot of these cards in a short amount of time.  I am very thankful for #simplestamping

You could make this card for any occasion by changing the sentiment.  I made them mainly as thank you cards, using the Peaceful Moments stamp set.    I also needed a couple of birthday cards, so I used the Perennial Birthday stamp set for the sentiment.   

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Blueberry Bushel

• cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Whisper White 

• cut 2 at 4 x 5 1/4"
  

 

I stamped the small rose with the Lovely Lipstick ink on the inside of the card and also on the envelope. 

The above In Colors will be retiring this year. The retirement list for the annual and mini catalogs will be coming out later this month.  Now is the time to get them before they sell out.  The ink, refills, paper and embellishments in the In Colors will sell out fast.  

This is also the time to get your favorite products that you would like from both catalogs.  Once the retirement list comes out, everything, except the stamps, will be while supplies last.

Sale-A-Bration Thoughtful Blooms

Tomorrow is the last day for Sale-A-Bration!  I can't believe how fast this years Sale-A-Bration went.  It seems like we just started it.  The above card I made with the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, which is FREE when you purchase $50 in product by March 31st.   I also used the Swirly Frames stamp set in the annual catalog.

On the inside of my card and on the envelope I stamped three flowers in Blushing Bride ink.

I used the Champagne Rhinestones, which are on backorder right now as they are a very popular item, in the center of all the flowers.  I stamped the circle in Sahara Sand along with the sentiment on the front and inside of the card.  I used Pool Party ink for the background stamping under the flowers.  The flowers are stamped in Blushing Bride ink.

Dino Days Kids Birthday Card

What do you do when you need a kids birthday card in a hurry?  You reach for the Dino Days stamp set, Dino dies (you can get both as a bundle and save 10%) and the adorable Dinoroar designer series paper.  

You know how I made this card in a hurry?  For the dinosaurs, I used the Dino dies to cut out the dinosaurs on the designer series paper.  How easy is that?!  I, then stamped the sentiment and yellow design on the base of the card.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set with Memento ink on Pool Party cardstock.

Pokemon Punch Art Birthday Card

My nephew has two boys that are really into Pokemon.  So, for their birthdays I made them each this adorable Pokemon card.  I really like how it came out.  

I looked online to see if I could find directions on how to make one and and I came across this one created by Caroline Bennie.  I love a challenge and figuring out what punches to use was a challenge.  All but one of the punches I used are retired.  I used the following punches:

• 1 3/8" oval - retired
• small oval - retired
• 3/4" circle - retired
• owl - retired
• 1/2" circle
• what's up (arrow) - retired 

I used the Basic Black Stampin Marker to draw the lines by the mouth.  I did cut the Daffodil Delight base for the card at 4" x 6" and scored it at 3" so it would fit in a medium envelope.  I also used Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White cardstock.  

I haven't done punch art in a long time.  I didn't realize how much I enjoy doing it until I worked on this card.  I am going to have to make more projects using punch art.

All Classes Have Been Cancelled For March

 

Wow! What a crazy weekend in my home! I am not sure all of you know that I have a daycare in my home. With everything going on, we, my husband and myself, have been very busy sterilizing all the toys and surfaces in our home. Then, yesterday afternoon our vacuum decided it needed to quit working. In addition to that, schools are closed, so I have more little angels in my home right now.  Yep, it has been crazy! 

So, needless to say, I have not been in my craft room like I wanted to be. I am going to have to cancel my Facebook live tonight as I have not had time to prep anything to share with you. Thank you for being understanding and I will try to do a Facebook live with you as soon as possible.

I am sure you are not surprised when I tell you that I have cancelled my classes for the rest of the month.  I will be rescheduling my Painted Harvest class and my Spring Shadow Box class.  As soon as I get everything figured out I will let you know. 

I am going to try and post as much as I can, but I can't promise it will be the same schedule that I have been doing.  This was my first day with all the children and I will tell you, I am tired.  I am sure once we all get into a routine, I will have more energy.  You know, we think the kids don't realize what is going on, but they do.  They feel our worry, concern and our stress.  So, I am trying to be even more of a positive influence on them right now.  

If you think of it, could you say a little prayer for my angels and for me, that I am able to give them everything they need me to do for them.  I would really appreciate it.  

I pray and hope that all of you are healthy and stay healthy.  This is a difficult time, but we can get through it together.  I am sending virtual hugs and lots of love to each and everyone of you!

Bridal Shower Goodies

Yesterday, we had Emily's bridal shower in Michigan.  It was so much fun!  I don't think we have laughed so much in a very long time.  I made all the decorations and party favors using current and retired products.  The box above was one of the items everyone got to take home with them.  I filled it up with Dove heart candy. 

Emily got engaged on the beach, so I wanted to include something to represent it.  I saw a candle holder like this one on Pinterest and Stampin' Up! has the anchors in the Sail Away Trinkets.  These were very easy to make.

We played a couple of games that I found online and decorated them with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.  The colors I used for everything was Blushing Bride (retired), Pear Pizzazz and Seaside Spray.

I made pens for everyone to use for the games.  I stamped Whisper White cardstock with the Blushing Bride (retired) and one with the Seaside Spray ink. Whoever got the blue pen also won the notebook that I made to match the pens.  

I used Powder Pink ink and paper, which are retired, but you can use Blushing Bride, which is very close in color.

What a wonderful weekend we had!  It was absolutely perfect.  The only thing I would have changed is more time with my family.  We were only there for about 36 hours, so it was a very short trip.  

It is tax time at my house this week, so I am going to be busy working on getting all of that fun stuff together.  YUK!!!  If you don't see a blog post, it is because I am knee deep in paperwork.   I will definitely be back next Monday as I will be doing a Facebook Live on Monday night.

Sherry's Cards Using Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper

3 Cards The Same, But Different - Facebook Live

I had so much fun coming up with these Facebook Live projects and sharing them with all of you.  It all started when I designed the top left Timeless Tulip card for a workshop my friend Linda had with me.  Due to sickness, some of her guest couldn't make it, so I had some kits left over.  

Last week I had my Stamp Camp and I featured cards made with Sale-A-Bration products.   Since I had kits leftover, I created the bottom center card using the Little Ladybug stamp set and Ladybug dies.

I have to say, the Little Ladybug stamp set is my favorite stamp set from all of the Sale-A-Bration products.  I think they are so stinkin' cute!

On the inside of my card I stamped the flower and the ladybug.  On the envelope you could stamp either one, or you could stamp one on the front and the other on the back.

The third card I created I used the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set from Sale-A-Bration.  On this card I wanted to do something different with the cardstock, so I put the Real Red and Whisper White at an angel.  I love how it turned out.

Mr. Wonderful's Birthday Card - Country Club Suite

When Robin and I went to a Stampin' Up! event in November, we got to see the 2020 mini catalog.  As soon as we both saw the Country Club suite we knew we had to get it.  Especially, since both of our husbands love to golf.  At the events, they have demonstrators present their creations using a new product from the new catalog.   I can't remember the name of the person who presented at our event, but she made this card.  We both fell in love with it immediately!

At the same time, we both said, "we need to make this card".  We have been waiting until now to make it for both our of husbands birthdays (they were both in February).   Mr. Wonderful loved it!

We had so much fun creating this card.  I don't usually make pop up cards, but I had to make this one.  

I really like how it turned out.

Beautiful Friendships Congratulations Card

I always have extra cards, for different occasions, in my studio that I can grab when I need a card in a hurry.  At my Stamp A Stack class, we made 5 different cards so the attendees could also have cards ready to use at anytime.  We made multiples of birthday, feminine and masculine, sympathy, get well and congratulations cards.  On Friday I shared the masculine birthday card we made.  If you missed it, check it out HERE.  For the congratulations card, we made the above card, where  I used the Beautiful Friendships stamp set. 

This is also the stamp set that I used on Emily's shower invites.  I am not sure why I waited so long to order this stamp set, because I love it!

I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment, and the Parisian Flourish embossing folder on the Blackberry Bliss cardstock.  I added three of the Champagne Rhinestones on the sentiment to finish off the card.  

The layout of this card is great for any type of card you need.  You could get so many different looks, just by changing the designer series paper and cardstock color.  

The Metallic Baker's Twine and Sequin Pack in the Sale-A-Bration brochure has sold out.  Reminder all the products in the Sale-A-Bration brochure are while supplies last. 

This is also when I start reminding everyone that if there is something you really want out of the 2019-2020 annual catalog or 2020 mini catalog, you need to get it soon.  I recommend that you order your favorites before the middle to end of March to make sure they get what you want.

Over the weekend I was in Texas with Emily working on wedding things.  We had so much fun!  We were so busy, that we totally forgot to take pictures.  Oops!

It is the beginning of a brand new week!  What plans do you have for this week?  I have a busy, but fun week ahead of me.  I need to get going on projects for classes and for Emily's shower.  I can't believe it is only a couple weeks away.   Have a great week!
