I made this card for my open house that I had in January and have been waiting to share it with you. I fell in love with the card in occasions catalog for this stamp set. I changed it a little to go with the products I had on hand and it show the ribbon that was in our Sale-A-Bration brochure. If you don't have this ribbon you could use any ribbon you have on hand.
To make this card, you will need the following products:
Blushing Bride Cardstock #131198
- cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
- cut at 2 7/8" x 4 5/8"
Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
- cut at 2 3/4" x 4 1/2"
Fallin In Love Designer Series Paper #142788
I stamped the image from the Easter message stamp set and then used our Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens. I used the Early Espresso for the cross and the Basic Gray for the cloth. This added just a hint of color to make a subtle impact.
I used dimensionals under the small Blushing Bride cardstock to give the card dimension. I also added a piece of very vanilla cardstock to the inside of the card.
Below are some close up pictures of my projects that I had created for my display at OnStage. I have to say my favorite is the scrapbook page of our farm. I brought back a lot of memories. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek of some of the new products.
In the above picture I was given the punch for the lemon/limes. Did you notice the paper on both the top and bottom pictures on the right hand side. You are going to love that paper stack. So many possibilities. How cute is the tab punch on the gift card holder? In the bottom collage you will see how I used it to make a background.
I just realized I put a picture in here twice. I must really like that project. LOL You will notice the paper again, can you see I loved it. The crate I made myself, but there is a die in the new catalog that you will be able to make it much easier.
The top right one is the background made with the tab punch. I have to give my daughter Emily credit for that idea. You might now notice in the pictures, but glossy white paper is back!!!!! You know what else is in the new catalog that is returning? The self adhesive sheets! They are going to be wonderful for all our small delicate dies. On the bottom right corner picture you can see one of the new ribbons, washi tape and embellishments. The bottom left picture is made using the new glossy white paper.
I am really excited about the glossy white paper. It retired shortly after I started selling Stampin' Up!, so I didn't really get a chance to play with it. I am sure there are a lot of really neat techniques out there for me to learn and share with you.
My first box arrived yesterday of the Eastern Suite and my other boxes arrive today from my preorder. Oh, my goodness! I think I have died and gone to heaven. What should I create with first?
Last night we had the grandrandall's for a sleepover. They were so good, I couldn't have asked for them to behave any better. They had a lot of fun helping me clean up my craftroom for class tonight. Beckett said to me that he thought I should get rid of some of my stuff because I could never use all of it. Uh, NO!
You are probably wondering who are the grandrandall's. Five years ago I met Todd and Kumiko when they came to talk to me about taking care of their first baby. There was an instant connection between all of us. You know how you meet someone and right away you know they are going to be a part of your lives for a long time, if not, forever. Over the years, Todd has come to our church, accepted Christ and got baptized. I was so honored and humbled when he did his video and talked about what an influence our family has had on him with his walk with Christ. We have all adopted each other as a part of our family. My girls call Todd their brother and Kumiko their sister and they do the same. It warms my heart so much.
Some people at church thought Todd was our son. I physically could have had Todd, but I would have been 14 years old. We sometimes, say yes he is. It is easier that way at times. In our hearts they are our children and their children are our grandchildren. We love all of them so much and we are so blessed to have them in our lives.
Have a terrific Thursday and thank you for stopping in today.
