Last Day For 2021 Sale-A-Bration!

Today is the last day for Sale-A-Bration! One of the products you can get is the adorable Penguin Playmate designer series paper that I used on the above two cards. This is a quick and easy layout that you could use with any designer series paper. I added some of the paper on the envelope, because we can not send out a naked envelope. LOL 

I love how you can use this paper for other occasions too. It doesn't have to be only for the holidays. One of my little angels loves, I mean loves, penguins, so I am going to give her this card for her birthday. She is going to love it.

Fall Friday 2021 Week #3 - Delicate Dahlias

Time for another project from my Fall Friday series! Today I have a simple stamping sympathy card to share with all of you. If you don't know, simple stamping is using ink, paper and stamps to create your card. Nobody likes to make sympathy cards, and when you do, you want to get them out in the mail right away. So, you need a card that is quick, easy and special. I have the perfect card for you.

I used the beautiful Delicate Dahlias stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration brochure. I used fall colors, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow. I haven't used Merry Merlot in so long. I am not sure why though, it is beautiful.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Early Espresso

• cut at 5 1/2"x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Crushed Curry

• cut at 3 3/4" x 5"

Merry Merlot

• cut at 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"

Very Vanilla

• cut at 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
• cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  

I felt like this card needed just a little something, so I added 3 Champagne Rhinestones. 

I stamped 3 small flowers on the inside of the card and on my envelope.

Penguin Place Thank You Card

Oh My Goodness! Look how cute these penguins are! I am absolutely in love with the Penguin Place stamp set and coordinating punch, Penguin Builder, in the Stampin' Up! 2021 holiday catalog. I am also excited that you can get both of these as a bundle and save 10%. Yay! When I started designing this card, I knew I wanted to put snowflake paper in the background, but wasn't sure which one to use. There is a pack of designer series paper that coordinates with this set in the August and September Sale-A-Bration brochure with snowflakes, however, this time I wanted a different color scheme.

I decided on the Peaceful Prints designer series paper, which coordinates with the Peaceful Deer bundle in the holiday catalog, that is in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Don't you just love how Stampin' Up! has products that coordinate with so many of their other products? I sure do! You can get this designer series paper for FREE until September 30th, when you purchase $50 or $100 in product. 

For the sentiment I used the Ornate Thanks stamp set and embossed it with the white embossing powder in the annual catalog. The white on top of the black really stands out.

On the inside of the card, I used Real Red ink and the snowflakes stamp in the Penguin Place stamp set. I also added it to the front of my envelope. 

When someone places an order with me, I always send them a thank you card. This card was my thank you card for the month of August and was a big hit. I have heard from several people how much they liked the card. The best compliment is when someone wants to make one of my projects and I have had several ask for the directions. It definitely fills my heart!

New at SU - Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper SAB

 

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you! This month we are highlighting products from the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Have you seen the Penguin Playmate designer series paper in the Sale-A-Bration brochure?  Oh, my goodness it is so stinkin' cute and it coordinates with the Penguin Place bundle in the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog. Yay!

When I sat down to begin creating my project, I challenged myself to see how many different designs of the paper I could use on my card. I ended up making this creative fold card with 5 different papers from the pack! I couldn't believe it. I have to say, it was so much fun challenging myself.

I don't know if you are like me, where I have my favorite designs in the paper pack and don't even look at the rest of them. This way I was able to use a lot of them. I am going to have to do challenges like this more often.

It is hard to show sometimes how cards fold on pictures, so I took this one looking down at it.  I think it is easier to see how it folds together.

Fresh Freesia

• cut at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" score at 3"

Basic White

• cut 2 at 2 7/8" x 4 1/8"

Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper

• cut 2 at 2 3/4" x 4"

On the front of the card all the animals came from one sheet of the designer series paper.  I fussy cut the bear and fox and used the Penguin Builder punch to punch out the penguin. The trees were punched out of Just Jade card stock using the Pine Tree Punch. 

Here are more pictures where you can see the paper better on each section.  The little tree on the white cardstock with the sentiment I fussy cut from the same paper as I cut the animals out of.

Last Day For Sale-A-Bration!

February.  Oh, February.  Where are you?  Does anyone know where February went?  I can not believe that today is the last day.  Does anyone else feel like it was a blur? 

I don't like to make sympathy cards, I don't think anyone does, but when I do, I want the card to be cheerful. The recipient is already going through so much, that I want to bring a little bit of sunshine into their day.   More importantly, I want them card to know that the card is filled with lots of love, hugs and prayers.    

I was playing around with the direction of the sentiment, and couldn't figure out which way I liked it best, so I ended up making two cards.  LOL  Isn't it amazing how a card can look so different, just by changing one thing!  Which one do you like the best?

When I was creating these cards. I wanted to use two of the Sale-A-Bration products.  The beautiful stamp set Heal Your Heart and the Flower and Field designer series paper.  I am really going to miss these products and will be keeping the Heal Your Heart stamp set on my shelf, so I can keep using it.

Sale-A-Bration Darling Donkeys Birthday Card

The donkeys in this stamp set are so stinkin' cute!  I love them!  I have been using them to make cards for birthdays, thinking of you, get well and even Valentine's Day.

Pretty Perennials Class Cards

On Wednesday night I had my Pretty Perennial Class on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page.  It was so much fun!  I haven't done a Facebook live in a long time.  I didn't realize how much I missed it, until I was doing this one.  I am definitely going to be doing more of them.  

Creative fold cards are so fun to make!  I saw a card like this online, created by Peggy Noe, and loved how she used the Sunflower dies to cut out the big flowers and off set them.  I had to use it on this card.  I love how it turned out. 

This type of creative fold is called the gate fold.

I have to say that I case'd (copy and share everything) this card created by Tina Gillespie.  I loved the simplicity of this card and wanted to make it just like she did.

Can you believe there is only 11 days left of the Stampin' Up! New At SU - Sale-A-Bration Berry Blessings

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  There are so many products that I love in the brochure, I had a hard time picking which one to showcase.  I ended up picking the Berry Blessings stamp set and Berry Delightful designer series paper.  

The Berry Delightful designer series paper is bright and cheerful, which I love.  In Ohio, during the months of January and February, we don't see the sun very often.  So, when I see bright and cheerful paper, it makes me happy!  

I really liked how this card came out, that I also used it to send to my customers who participated in my paper share for the new Stampin' Up! January-June mini catalog.  I have heard from a lot of the participants that they loved their card.  Yay!

Pretty Perennials Online Class

I have been having so much fun creating projects to share with you.  As you all know, I love the beautiful Paper Blooms designer series paper in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  I think it is because it coordinates with the Pretty Perennials stamp set in the mini catalog, which I also love.  

I saw a presentation by Dena Rekow, who helped design this stamp set for her $1,000,000 in sales, and loved it.  She had so many creative projects using this bundle.  

For my February online class, I am using this wonderful bundle, which includes the Pretty Perennials stamp set and Perennials Petals dies.  This class will be on Wednesday, February 16th at 6:30pm.  I am not sure if I am going to do it on FaceBook or Zoom yet.  We will be making 6 cards, 2 of three different designs, including envelopes.  The fee for this class is as follows:

Class including stamp set $39
Class including stamp set and dies $70
Priority shipping $8.50

We will only be using one ink color this time, Night of Navy.
