Which One Is Your Favorite Ornate Style Card?

All of you know that I love to color, so the Ornate Style stamp set caught my eye as soon as I saw it.  There are two stamp sets and each stamp set has coordinating dies in the Ornate Garden Suite.  I used the Ornate Style stamp set and the Ornate Layers dies, which were released from Stampin' Up! earlier this month.  They were teasing us a little with this sneak peek of one of the new products in the 2020-2021 annual catalog.  I am so happy they did!

Which one do you like best?

I am having a hard time trying to figure out which one I like best?  

On this card I used the following blends 

• Balmy Blue - light and dark
• Calypso Coral - light
• Crumb Cake - light and dark
• Highland Heather - light and dark
• Night of Navy - light and dark
• Petal Pink - light and dark
• Pool Party - light and dark
• Pretty Peacock - light and dark
• So Saffron - light

This card I used more of the fall colors.  The Stampin' Blends I used were:

• Calypso Coral - light and dark
• Crumb Cake - dark
• Daffodil Delight - light and dark
• Old Olive - light and dark
• Seaside Spray - light and dark

I used the other stamp set, Ornate Thanks, for the sentiment.  I finished off the card by adding the Gilded Gems that are also in the new catalog.   

Still undecided which is your favorite.  Me too!

Painted Harvest Class

Last week I had my first Zoom class and it was so much fun!  I had my Painted Harvest class where we made 5 different projects using the Painted Harvest stamp set, which each of the participants received with the class.  They also had the option to add the leaf punch.  Both of these products are retiring and unfortunately, the leaf punch has already sold out.  fussy cut it out or  

When I designed this class, it was suppose to be held in my studio.  I did use a lot of different colors, which is no big deal, when I have the class in person.  I contacted all of the attendees to see what colors they had and changed the colors to match theirs. 

I saw this card on Pinterest, I can't remember who created it, and loved how the Whisper White paper was cut at an unusual angle.  I used Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow for this card.  The designer series paper is the Magnolia Lane.  I added one of the leaves from the Leaves Trinkets and Linen Thread.  Here is a template of how I cut it. 

For this card I used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry. Old Olive and Soft Suede.  The Whisper White was embossed with the Layering Leaves embossing folder.  For the flower I punched it out with the Starburst punch and layered it with a piece of Cajun Craze punched out with the 2 1/4" circle punch.  I haven't used the Braided Burlap Trim lately, I am not sure why, so I thought I would dust it off and use it.  The Starburst punch, Layered Leaves embossing folder and Braided Burlap Trim are all retiring. 

I love the colors in the flowers on this card.  I used Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede.  The designer series paper is from the Neutrals 6" x 6" paper pack.  I also used the Leaf punch and Braided Burlap Trim. 

I bet this card looks familiar!  Yes, it is the same card as the one I put on my blog on Wednesday, but with Night of Navy.  I made this card first and realized that it would be perfect for my blog hop.  I changed the color to Blueberry Bushel, which is so pretty too.   On this card I used the Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Smoky Slate.  I punched out the sentiment with the Pretty Label Punch and finished it off with the Whisper White Baker's Twine.  Both of these products are retiring along with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. 

My final project was the made with the Kraft Pillow Box, which is retiring.  I colors I used are Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry.  I made a triple loop bow with the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon.  The flowers were fussy cut with the best scissors every, Paper Snips!  They also work great when you have to cut your husband's hair.  LOL

It's Friday!!!  Today is the last day of home schooling!  I have to say it has gone much better than I thought it would.  I am ready for our summer schedule though.

Beautiful Friendship with 2018-2020 In Colors

I can't believe it is time to be thinking about the retirement of the Stampin' Up! 2018-2020 In Colors.  I wanted to make a card that had all of the In Colors and was easy and fast to make.  I needed to make my thank you cards that I was going to send to everyone who ordered from me during Sale-A-Bration.  I was able to make a lot of these cards in a short amount of time.  I am very thankful for #simplestamping

You could make this card for any occasion by changing the sentiment.  I made them mainly as thank you cards, using the Peaceful Moments stamp set.    I also needed a couple of birthday cards, so I used the Perennial Birthday stamp set for the sentiment.

Cardstock:

Blueberry Bushel

• cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Whisper White

I stamped the small rose with the Lovely Lipstick ink on the inside of the card and also on the envelope. 

The above In Colors will be retiring this year. The retirement list for the annual and mini catalogs will be coming out later this month.  Now is the time to get them before they sell out.  The ink, refills, paper and embellishments in the In Colors will sell out fast.  

This is also the time to get your favorite products that you would like from both catalogs.  Once the retirement list comes out, everything, except the stamps, will be while supplies last.  

What is your favorite In Color?  I have to say, mine is Grapefruit Grove.

Sale-A-Bration Thoughtful Blooms

Tomorrow is the last day for Sale-A-Bration!  I can't believe how fast this years Sale-A-Bration went.  It seems like we just started it.  The above card I made with the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, which is FREE when you purchase $50 in product by March 31st.   I also used the Swirly Frames stamp set in the annual catalog.

On the inside of my card and on the envelope I stamped three flowers in Blushing Bride ink.

I used the Champagne Rhinestones, which are on backorder right now as they are a very popular item, in the center of all the flowers.  I stamped the circle in Sahara Sand along with the sentiment on the front and inside of the card.  I used Pool Party ink for the background stamping under the flowers.  The flowers are stamped in Blushing Bride ink.

Easy Bloom & Grow Card

On Friday night I had my first Bunco Night and will be having another again.  It was so much fun!  We made 4 different cards and played 3 rounds of Bunco.   The cards were simple because we wanted to have time to play Bunco too. 

I used  the Bloom & Grow stamp set from the annual catalog, along with the Swirls and Curls embossing folder and Black Satin Ribbon.

Whisper White Thick

• cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Purple Posy

• cut at 4" x 4 1/4"

I wrapped the Black Satin ribbon around the Purple Posy cardstock and then popped it up with Stampin Dimensionals.  I did use a retired punch for the flower and center of it.  I put Wink of Stella on the center of the flower.   This is a fun and easy card to make and it turns out beautiful.

Good Morning Magnolia Card With Matching Bag

Last Monday on my Facebook Live I shared with you how to make the bag in the above picture.  I had mentioned that I made a card the coordinated with the bag and would share with you how to make it too.  I wanted to share this on Friday, but I needed to get the information about my Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Paper Share.  If you would like information on it click on this link.

This card is a very easy card to make and you get to have fun coloring with the new Stampin' Blends.  The stamp set, Good Morning Magnolia and dies, Magnolia Memory, are available as a bundle and you save 10%!

Cardstock:

Mossy Meadow

• cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Petal Pink

• cut at 1" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White

• cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card
• cut at 2 1/4" x 8 1/2" for the flowers and leaves

Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper

• cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

I used the Petal Pink (both dark and light) and Mossy Meadow (both dark and light) Stampin' Blends to color in the magnolia flowers.  I love that Stampin' Up! has already helped us with where we need to put the darker colors.  When you stamp the image you will see little lines where your color needs to be darker than other areas.  

I colored three flowers and adhered them to the Petal Pink strip.  I stamped Thanks on the right hand side of the strip using Mossy Meadow ink.  I popped up the top flower with a Stampin Dimensional after I colored them and cut them out with the Magnolia Memory dies.  I added the twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.   I also stamped the flower image on the inside of my card and on my envelope, both in the lower left hand corner.

Good Morning Magnolia with Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper

The card I have to share with you today is from when I did my paper share for the Stampin' Up! 2019-2020 annual catalog.  I created this card for all the participants as an example on how to use their designer series paper.  I also wanted to thank them for being a part of my first paper share.

The designer series paper is from the beautiful Pressed Petals paper pack.  For the sentiment I used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  Then I cut it out with the Stitched Shapes dies and the mat was cut out using the Layering Oval dies.

I popped up the sentiment with Stampin Dimensionals.  When you are going over ribbon, put your dimensionals on the top and bottom of your sentiment.  If you put it on the sides, it will stick to the ribbon and move around.

Come Sail Away Suite

On Friday night I had my monthly card class and I featured the Come Sail Away Suite.  At this class we make 3 different cards using the same stamp set, framelits and designer series paper.  This is a great way to show how versatile our products are.  The above card is one of the cards we made in class.  

Do you know where I got the layout for this card?  I had used it in another card with the same theme in May 2016.  I use the Open Sea stamp set.  Here is a picture of the card I originally made.

On June 7th I had my Annual Catalog Kickoff event.  There was laughter, stamping, eating, a scavenger hunt and the most important, a lot of fun!  Here are some pictures from the evening.

Bloom and Grow Bundle - What's New At SU Blog Hop

I am so happy that you are joining us for our blog hop!   We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from around the world who are Hoppin’ With Exciting Ideas to share with you. Today we will feature products from the 2019-2020 annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas that are shared today!

I had a hard time trying to figure out what stamp set I wanted to use for this blog hop.  There are so many beautiful sets in this catalog.  I started to look around my craft room to get inspiration and saw my display of the Blends markers.  I knew I wanted to use them, so that narrowed down my choices to images that could be colored.  There were still quite a few left in my pile and still no idea which one to use. 

Then, I looked over on my craft table and saw the Basket Weave embossing folder and I immediately knew I wanted to do a flower basket.  In my pile of stamp sets I saw the Bloom and Grow stamp set and knew it would be perfect!  I love to color so this card was a lot of fun for me to design and make.  

 

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Seaside Spray

• cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Crumb Cake

• cut at 2 1/4" x 2 1/2" for the basket

Purple Posy

• cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White

• cut at 4 " x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card
• cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
• cut at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" for all your stamped images

Did you notice the beautiful 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon in the Seaside Spray color?  This ribbon is available in all of the 2019-2021 In Colors.  Yay!  The Bloom and Grow stamp set has coordinating dies, Budding Blooms, and you can get them as a bundle and save 10%.
